I learned a new word today, AfDD. Affective Deprivation Disorder. A friend of mind is the neurotypical spouse of an Aspie and suffering from AfDD, a relational disorder resulting from the emotional deprivation sometimes experienced by the partner (or child) of persons with a low emotional/empathetic quotient or alexithymia. I had to look up alexithymia too. Sounds like me. I've got my neurodiverse challenges. I just got introduced to the aspie quiz. Maybe that is why I have trouble with social skills. My counselor recommended education on social thinking skills. I've got a lot to learn.

I read this and it's on afdd, and I actually did learn from it was not to mock unresponsiveness and entirtes. Mocking the entirity of the situation can be an issue with me. The article talked about patience too. The issue I found with empathy in autism is naracissm. Now do I have the traits of a narcissist? Maybe, but hey everyone can be selfish, and full of themselves.
