19, trans boy, interested in sociology and politics as well as travel and learning new languages. a lot of people assume i'm more outgoing and rebellious than i am because i can be uptight and loud and i dress kinda punk but i'm admittedly just a quiet nerd once you get to know me enough that i feel comfortable around you.

i read manga and occasionally watch anime, mostly sci-fi and fighting genres but what's most important to me is good characters and theme and art style (yeah, i'm one of those annoying analytical fans, big character flaw).

i love horror movies and action/sci-fi movies.... i spend most of my time observing things, googling stuff i wanna know about, or netflix surfing. i know basic spanish, japanese, and sign language, and i'm learning more japanese currently as well as chinese and i'm considering arabic and korean and vietnamese after that.

future-wise, i'm unemployed (sigh) but going back to college soon for language. i want to travel to a lot of different places, and teach foreign language in america or english overseas. my partner, a gamer, is another awkward introvert and hugely important to me.

maybe posting in a friend seeking thread is a tad thirsty but it's been hard finding friends who are understanding. where better to go than a forum for other asd people?

I have no friends, and, of course, no girlfriend.
I have future plans to go to college and pursue a major in History. Graduate from college, and become a historian at a Virginia Civil War battlefield.

Wow you guys are super active and interesting. I wish I did more stuff. Living on disability and supported housing. I'm in northern IL, 30/m, don't have any friends and don't go out much except to a once a week job. Thought about going to beaches and stuff, I like water, I like boats, but I don't have money for boats, I don't think ANYONE has money for boats, and if you have money for boats, couldn't you be doing other things?
I mean, I could probably buy a day ticket for a boat but then I would have to go into the city, I'm in the suburbs and I get scared by the random kids and people walking their dogs when I go on my daily two hour walk. I'm writing two books and not too eager to meet in physical form, but I wouldn't mind a beta reader to give me feedback on what I'm doing. I have a hard time editing and most of my stuff embarrasses me to no end because of that, but I think Mental World Online came out pretty good. Someone gave it a good review. I've gotten a lot better since then and I really like the direction my new books are going, one is philosophy and the other is a fantasy.

Despite the email name, I'm not very political. I listen to all sides of the issue and tend to view most political issues as difficult math problems that people who care more about the issues and are smarter than me will be able to work out just fine.

Hi! My name is Gabe Maiberger. I am a 19 year old who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome in 2011 and am currently working towards my Associates of Science. I eventually intend to get two PhDs in the fields of Computer Science and Physics. I have a passion for OS Development, Microprocessor Design, Cryptography, Orbital Mechanics, Particle Physics, Alcubierre Drive, and Biology (side hobby). I am currently working on designing a new microprocessor based on an entirely new instruction set. Hopefully I will be able to implement the design using Graphene NanoRibbon Field Effect Transistor (GNRFET) technology at a 5nm node . My favorite movies are The Matrix Trilogy, Maze Runner (franchise), Hunger Games (franchise), Terminator (franchise), Interstellar, and Gravity. My favorite music genre is electronic; my favorite sub-genres are: dubstep, house, electro house, trance and psytrance. I abhor electronic music that has been sullied by lyrics hailing from mainstream rap music or pop music. In my opinion it has desecrated the genre. My goals in life are to: create a successful microprocessor/software development company, be the first man on Mars, implement a viable version of the EMDrive (if it actually works in the first place), develop FTL travel by implementing Miguel Alcubierre's warp drive metric, and run for the office of President of the United States as a Constitutionist (Constitution Party) in the year 2036.

25 years old Aspie with special interest on stimming with hair dryers or anything like that, I like counting and taking data on behavior. I suck at making friends and mostly avoid meeting people because 1-I am socially anxious, b- I cant keep up a conversation , after hy hy Im lost. Im gay, single, aint looking to mingle, but would like to meet person who could at least stand me (I can be annoying as f***). And Im honest, sometimes too much.

Hi, I am Bob from Townsville, North Queensland. I live with ASD and would love to make friends with other males or females. My age is 58 and I was diagnosed in 2015.
I find it so very difficult to make friends as I do not have the 'communication chip' within me. (Joke) I have a social anxiety that I personally believe comes with the ASD package.
I guess as a result of not understanding people, I tend to spend a lot of my time alone, but that is not a negative issue for me as I do enjoy my own company and I do have quite a few interests.
I am an intelligent guy and have a quirky sense of humour.
I am most comfortable with being Aspie; yet if I was able to remove two issues they would be; 1. Lack of communication skills in a group larger than one person; 2. social anxiety.
