Im just wondering if anyone has friends that are mainly from the same sex or whether there is an even mixture of the two sexes. I find that I seem to get on much much better with males than females and I only have 3 female friends whereas the other umpteen are male. I seem to have lots in common with a lot of my male friends than I do with any female I meet (apart from the way I look of course) and I'm less likely to fall out with a guy than I am with a woman even though I can be quite girly. Anyone else have anything similar?

Ever since I hit puberty, I've found it easier to relate to girls. I just find that they're generally more open to talk about anything (particularly feeliings). Most of the guys tend to just want to talk about, well guy things, and I'm not really into guy things. There are exceptions on both sides of course, but I've generally found this to be true over the years. But anyway, the problem is that I can't really hang out with girls the way I would be able to hang out with guys.

Most of my friends are girls.

I don't like guys much and wouldn't complain if I never saw one again.

I tend to get along better with guys than girls. "girly" style chitchat drives me crazy

Most of my friends are guys, although I do have a few platonic female friends. I guess that's normal, for aspies or NTs.

Ever since I was young I have always been able to relate to the opposite sex more than my own. I have found that I display characteristics that one would generally associate with women rather than men.

It's a bit of a mixture. I have probably more girl friends then guy friends, but the guy friends don't make it seem like their a minority.

Um, of my circle of friends, 4 are guys, 5 are girls. Though of the 5 girls I'm closest to one, and of the guys I'm closest to, well, 1, but the dynamics of the group have changed over time. In the past I've been closer to the guys on the whole, I think.

I'm not really into guys even though I'm a guy too. I find guys in general (that means I do not universally hate all guys) to be disgusting, sweaty, crude, and unappealing. I tend to believe that, if there were fewer guys in the world, there would be less competition for the affections of women.

Ditto, except for all my guy friends. I like girls better for conversation, but guys are more fun to be around (parties, etc.). This is from experience only, and most of the parties I've been to were video game heavy.

my friends (all 2-3) of them are guys. I can't even talk to guys that well, girls are way to hard.

I'm a girl and most of my friends tend to be either quiet, good-hearted, accepting sorts of girls or gay, geeky or otherwise odd boys.

My only friend is a guy, so yes. Regarding ´mates´ at school or (former) work, that's a pretty mixed bunch. Most of the other friends I had in the past were male though, while at home I was surrounded by women most of the time. I don't think I have a preference.

I'm a woman & my friends are mostly men who are kind, accepting, and odd. However, my counselors are all women.
Guess I get along well with non-stereotypical males. Haven't found workable friendships IRL w/females, exception being certain therapists/social workers-but that's professionals doing their job to help support me.
Dunno' what it all means.
