If this had nothing to do with me and my social skills, I would put it in the Music forum, but it does, so here's my story.

Once, I was coming home from getting extra help in school and I heard a song preview of a new song at the time on a radio station in my area that plays current music.

I had heard that some listeners had called the studio line and said that the song sounded kind of odd. The DJ didn't like the song at first, but it really grew on her.

Then, the salutatorian of our graduating class went on and on about the singer of this song. My mother and my aunt hated her speech. They said that she was trying to be cute and give us good advice about how to get on with our lives.

Recently, I did a music search and believe it or not, the song that I am talking about is #2 on the Top 100 List of Music. The song is called, "Stars are Blind," and the artist of that song is Paris Hilton.

Now, tell me, do you really think that we should learn life's lessons from someone who is so sleazy? I sure don't.

Why/how is Paris Hilton sleazy?

I am not saying you are wrong (or right). I am just curious to see how you justify your claim that Paris Hilton is sleazy.

People have negatively made fun of her.

When I graduated, I could barely contain my excitement, I was very happy.

If I would have heard my class salutatorian's speech clearly, I would have been mortified.

I am glad that I have graduated and I have my high school requirements out of the way.

Paris is sleazy because she's only famous 'cus of that whole bruhaha about the sex tape. I mean, she's the daughter of the guy who founded the Hilton Hotel, so she's extremely rich, and basically just goes to parties for a living. IMO she's visually disguisting, especially since quite a bit of her body's been altered through plastic surgery (which, for me, is very icky). She apparently acts like a total ditzy slut, too...blech. Basically a nobody who is only famous 'cus her dad's ridiculously rich and she was in a sex tape.

I quite disagree. I've never seen her ACT that way, I just hear people say she does.

I also dont see any D cups boobs on her; shes on the small side actually. I've seen a picture of her as a child, and she had her lips then, so those are not collagen either. Her nose and eyes seem to be the same too. So much for excessive plastic surgery.

Frankly, you have to give her some credit. Shes either got a publicity specialist that wont work for anyone else, or shes pretty crafty in that regard herself. Considering her fathers networking skills(he did form a hotel empire!), one might logically say hes rubbed off on her.

If there was no substance to her at all, she'd have disappeared quite fast, but I see shes outlasting some Hollywood personas with supposed acting chops.

I mean, compare her to Madonna, who has lasted 25 years in the spotlight. Madonna is a modest singer, a modest dancer, and a publicity genius. Paris, whatever you may think of her physical gifts, also seems to have that knack for grabbing the publics eye.

If it just came down to some specialist helping them, you'd see other celebrities making use of that person. Instead they are pulling stunts like popping their boobs out during the super bowl. You could name dozens of stunts that have failed to pique the publics eye, but paris and madonna seem to succeed everytime.

It will be interesting to see how she fairs in the years to come. Shes already been on the scene for 5 years. I bet she lasts for 5 more at least.

How can she teach us valuable lessons, though?

Oh God! Don't tell me she is trying to sing now. She is so ditzy, I don't think that she could show anybody how to pour piss from a boot.

Here we are two years later and Paris is still around! Shes got some sorta magic mojo happening.
