Hey there. So I went to the last London meet up and it was good and I think most people wanted to do it again, so I’ll start the ball rolling to set up the next one.

For all those who haven’t been before, it’s a relaxed environment with a chance to meet some new people, chat about experiences and issues, but without the usual pressure of trying to make small talk or worrying about what everyone else thinks. I plan to keep a similar format to last time, i.e. meet up in the weekend around 2pmin the bar area in the National Theatre (it’s not really a bar so will be quiet). I’ll fix the details when I know who’s interesting, so any suggestions are welcome.

I realise where heading in to summer now and people will have holidays planned so it won’t be possible to get a date that works for everyone (I had to wait till I had a better idea of my plans before organising this), so I’ll suggest a few dates and if people will let me know what dates work for them, I’ll try my best to pick one that works for most:

Saturday 27th June
Saturday 4th July
Sunday 5th July
Saturday 11th July
Sunday 26th July
Saturday 1st August
Sunday 2nd August

If you are interested please let me know which dates you can and can’t do.

My preference would be to go for a Sunday again, but I’ll see what everyone else thinks and availability!

I thought a Summer meet up would have plenty of schedule clashes, but it looks like the Saturday 11th of July could work. Hopefully we'll hear from some others as it was a good day last time, with a good sized group.

Ah, another meeting of the Satsuma Society! Should be fun. :)

I'd prefer a Sunday too, so maybe 26th July or 2nd August - although Saturday 11th July is a possibility. And I think the format is a good one.

Hopefully most people will be able to make it.

Just wondering if there are any developments on this? Are we doing the 11th July?

Hey all, Sorry for the quietness recently I've had a few things going on.

Looks like I will be busy on the 11th so won't be able to do anything that day. I think that leaves the 1st or 2nd of August to stop it being to far away.

I think Sundays are the more preferred date, so if people are happy with that. I'll put together some plans for Sunday 2nd of August.

Well that's enough for a start. Hopefully a few more will be encouraged to go. I'll post the details a bit nearer the time, but it will be roughly inline with the original post. And if anyone has any other good ideas just throw them in.

Hey all,

With the date confirmed as the Sunday the 2nd of August, I thought I'd just put the details up here before I go on holiday.

Meet up will be in the National Theatre's bar on the South Bank from 14:00. It's not really a bar and will be quite. It's on the ground floor on the right as you come in from the main entrance. I'll be there with a satsuma to mark the table we're at.

It'll just be a relaxed get together and all are welcome whether you said hi on this thread or not.

If the weather is nice we can also go and find a quite place outside later once everyone has gotten to know each other.

Hope to see you all there.

Hey all,

Just bumping up this thread for the meet up next week for those who want to meet up for a friendly chat and a relaxing area to discuss any issue you have with Autism with people who have similar experiences.

Hope to see a few people there.
