Do you have imaginary friends, or an imaginary girlfriend/boyfriend?
Describe them.

I am not quite sure what to put, because I have an imaginary universe. One of my friends has a counterpart in that universe and I have this amazing AI that could be considered a friend, but I am not sure if these characters get imaginary friend status.

Recently one of my friends (who also has an elaborate imaginary universe) and I have been meshing our universes together and we are doing some roll playing as our respective characters. It's really fun.

I did have another friend a while ago who was diagnosed with autism and he too had a very elaborate imaginary universe.

Fun fact: my name isn't actually Mike, Mike is the name of my imaginary world counterpart. That's where my username comes from.

If you count yourself/myself as an imaginary friend then yes, since I talk to myself a lot.

I also happen to had an imaginary universe, but that was long time ago, though I occasionally imagine rather unrealistic events with real friends...if you get what I mean.

When I was a kid, I had an elaborate imaginary universe.
These days, I have a handful of imaginary friends, but it's much less intense.

I happened to have an imaginary friend in the past, but in the present he's not there (a.k.a gone or non-existent).

I never had one. I never got pretend play as a kid either thou so I think I lack the imagination for it.

My imaginary bf that was around for a few years (while i had real life boydriends too) was so nice. He was blind, and the way he saw with his hands was sexy. I assisted him everyday and he was grateful and we were very in love.

I don't recall ever having one, and nor does my Mum, but I can't be totally sure.

I'm married to a real life husband, but I have an imaginary friend. I talk to her every day. Her names Cleo. I found her before I got married when I used to live on my own, after a bad previous marriage. I find people so hard to connect with and understand me, so I had to have Cleo.

My husband is the best man Ive ever had so I feel I dont need Cleo so much, but she still is there for me.

I had two as a child. I named them friend and sister. Friend was younger, sister was her older sister. They'd come with my mother and I to the grocery store. I'd even buckle them in in the car. And my mother and I played games with them, one of us playing for friend and the other playing for sister, as well as playing for ourselves. They seemed to do everything. But then they just left.

I have lots, but they're not really my friends, as we can't interact. I can only watch them, as if they're in a TV show, except for they have such strong emotions that I feel them and sort of... Become them. I would not be relevant to their universe, because I am from a different dimension. It doesn't make me sad, though. Just watching them is a great break from reality. Being with them would ruin them. But they owe it to my mind that they exist. Sometimes I write stories about them, and maybe one day I will be a screenwriter and make a show about them.

Oh and for your information my imaginary friend was a dog (Golden Retriever) that loved pineapple, and that's it really. I probably think that the reason why I had a canine imaginary friend, was because of the lack of any real dogs around me. But that all changed when I got back home (I was 10 by the way) and Sparky (Basset Hound) was there, and that's the moment when my imaginary friend just disappeared. May Sparky rest in peace :( .

Hah, yes. Sometimes I say things out loud when I'm talking to myself. What's even more strange is talking to yourself about stuff. Sometimes they'll have two different opinions and they'll argue it out. (And then I remember we're the same being.) 8O

When I'm home alone I sometimes have conversations with myself out loud. I've actually learned some very insightful things this way.
:D

I have rather elaborate "daydreams" as well. I have an alternate persona within them. They're quite cool. :)

I didn't have imaginary friends from age 12-18. then for some reason when i was around 19, i started having one again. only when i was alone in my room, and it only lasted a few years but i thought it was odd, and that i must be going crazy at the time. I was super depressed at the time.

glad im not the only one.
