how to succeed socially
Looks like it could have some good stuff. There are a loooot of articles that seem to assume that you know nothing whatsoever (good for AS people) and also has a section on mental health that mentions AS.
Also here is the related website by the same person about dating, I think most of it pertains to males. Though from what I read, most of it will be useful once you already have the basic skills set out on the succeed socially website, here it is: dating groundwork

The sites seem great. I am going to read them through.

However, I still feel I am missing some important points, e.g.: Are others really enjoying
beer parties, or are they just killing time the same way they watch TV?

Have only gotten through the Introduction sections, but what he says makes sense to me. I think a lot of what he is saying is that you have to be honest with yourself about your expectations and the effort that it will take to get there.

I liked his section on the different stages you might go through. Definitely went through the blissfully ignorant stage and the insecure, down in the dumps stage. Am just now entering the rocky ascent, mood swings stage. It helps to know to expect this and be ready to realistically react.

I like how he recommends drinking and doing drugs as a way to fit in.

Not.

Looks good so far.

I haven't read the whole lot, a bit too much to read at one time.

Looks like it could possibly give me some tips on how to fit in socially, would be a blessing if it worked.

LOVE your lion avatar. It speaks volumes - what a regal beast! He doesn't worry ever. And what you have selected to post with him as your quote above his picture - beautiful! That is me so much - and I am comforted by the words you selected.

I have said "good-bye" to my old self, and hello to my new self with great understanding of why I was, who I am! Now I understand...yes - I have lost myself.

Yeah link not easy to find.

Go up to the first post in this string, and the link is the very beginning of the 2nd paragraph. It is not underlined. You need to roll your cursor over the words and your cursor will change from arrow to hand - indicating it is a hot link. Give it a try.

In more than one place, sadly. It's even a sub-title.
