24, if I haven't replied already. I don't have a mental age or an emotional age or whatever other such ages people come up with.

My knees are substantially hairier than yours... I'd take a photo too, but I don't want to scare people. They say you aren't supposed to get hair on your kneecaps because of the scar tissue built up from falling over and stuff as a kid. I guess I didn't fall over enough.

<Likes not being very hairy>

I didn't fall over much either. I've always been very careful in my actions, and thus have never had so much as a broken finger, though I have had plenty of superficial injuries.

Yeah injuries aren't fun...

I like my hairy knees though :D
Mind you I'm not generally all that hairy, just my knees. Its a shame really, I keep trying to grow a decent carpet on my chest so I can wear an open shirt and a chunky medallion...

<Is of a somewhat chest-hairioed disposition>

The pic can be found in the album through the sig, on page 2, just before the nudy women. :P

Actually, you might want to check your diet for stuff that's causing that. Sounds like it might a slight allergy or digestive issue. Maybe a junk-food issue.

/me walks in with what looks like a shag carpet on my chest

hmm. maybe I should trim this a bit?

Being hairy ain't all that fun, the hair tends to catch on things like velcro and it hurts sometimes. ugh.

Hmm, well I do eat pretty unhealthily. >_>
And my sleep cycle is really messed up.*

<Would give you encouraging words of healthiness, but is in a pretty serious rest-and-digest mode. Has just woken up because he needed fruit and water.>

I was doing some fairly heavy cycling today and yesterday in hot weather, and have the same again planned for tomorrow. Besides the usual muscle repair and electrolyte repletion required, I also seem to have caught a cold and damaged some nerves on my left hand side, leaving my arm and leg on that side all tingly. For me, eating well is a necesscity (also with the wanting to live to 100+ thing).

What's your diet like (appart from 'bad')? I don't think I can help with the sleep; it's just 'one of these things' as far as I can figure.

Yikes that sounds pretty nasty! I hope the damage isn't permanent!

Me looking pale and unwell just now.

I tend to eat at odd hours, and I snack on lots of chocolate and licorice, doughnuts, whatever really. I frequently miss main meals because I sleep through them or forget to eat. I don't have much of a large appetite anyway. Oh and I do little to no exercise.

Diagnose me Doctor Pete!

PS I went looking for those licorice infusions last night at the supermarket, but couldn't find them :( They had some watermelon ones though. o_O

I've had nerve damage before; it fixes itself like any other injury. I probably stretched the nerves a bit or mooshed them against the saddle/my backpack.

If you're really interested in liquorice infusions, you could try hunting for them online. They're probably not exactly standard fare in most shops.

But, um, yeah... You really do look like crap. When you say you miss main meals, does that mean someone else cooks for you? I've cooked for myself for years, and it's far more convenient to go by when I'm hungry and ready to eat than by when someone else decides it's 'time' to cook (why the hell have this wondeful 'hunger' thing if you're going to decide your eating habits by what some clock says?). I tend to eat at odd hours too, and it should only be a problem if the environment you're in doesn't support it (like being awake at odd hours is only a problem if you can't get a train anywhere or visit your bank). I also often just eat one large meal a day, when I'm not putting much strain on my body, and eat fruit the rest of the day.

As for not having an appetite; it sounds like your body saying "Oh arse! Please, not another doughnut! I need essential fats, protiens, minerals, vitamins and phytochemicals! How am I supposed to repair myself and grow with this crud?"

My home-made snack bars:

mashed walnuts or almond flour
dates or dried currants
honey

Those snack bars sound pretty sticky!

Yeah I still live with my family, usually my mum or dad cooks, but its been a bit inconsistant the last year or so, because they're both working. I'm a terrible cook myself- I can't even boil an egg. The most I can manage is a piece of toast, and often I'll burn that too.

What I meant about missing main meals though is that usually I'm so caught up in whatever I'm doing that I forget to eat, or that the effort of preparing food for myself is not worth it, and I'd rather go hungry.

Hmm, I really don't think I could manage most of that stuff that you eat. I find it difficult to eat things like casseroles and stirfrys, soups, pastas, risottos etc- I much prefer a solid piece of food, like a sandwich, hamburger, steak, sausage, pizza etc
It may be kind of an odd distinction to make, but when I'm eating loose foods comprised of many smaller pieces I tend to find I don't manage to finish my serving, whereas I usually do fine if its a more solid piece of food.

I also struggle with salads and vegetables, possibly for the same reason.

Although I do like rice, and I do like chilli. Maybe I should eat more rice.

Meh, if dinner isn't served at the time I want it, I jump up and down and that sorts things out. :D

Then again I'm usually hungry well and truly before 7pm. It only particularly concerns me if I'm out of the house all day for school/work/whatever though. If left to my own devices, I'd often forget to eat all together. When I'm left to organise my own meals, I'll often wonder why I'm starving until I look at the clock and see it's 10pm. Not to mention that it's annoying when you find that the takeway outlet you want is closed (by which time I'm too hungry to think about cooking, particularly if that involves going to the supermarket first) and you then have to drive around finding something that's open.

Sleeping odd hours others is another matter all together. Lately I've been mostly having 2 meals a day because when I wake up it's too late for breakfast and I end up just eating a conventional lunch. Then comes dinner and so on. Surprisingly I haven't been too hungry.
