I'd love to come, but I don't have the finances to pay my way.

Hi,

I did pm you but had no reply. I need to know if this is going ahead or not today as I will have no internet access after about 8pm tonight.

OK!

I'm going for it!
I have had some response so here goes.

  • 12:30 to 13:00 meet outside WhistleStop Waterloo
  • 13:00 leave for National Theatre Foyer
  • 13:30 by this time we should all be comfortably seated inside behind the cafeteria
  • A decision on the next move is up to us and will be decided there but we won't run away too quickly :)

For maps and further information see: Meet up Proposal

I just read my inbox and saw the invite, I might pop along. I'm in need of some rest - life's been pretty hectic recently, but I'll see how I feel on sunday.

Take Care all.

Don't think I can make it this time round...short on finances and really been exhausted of late, so think it would be too much for me.
Maybe next time.

Well it did happen!

5 attended in all, My thanks to the other 4.

The National Theatre was closed:( so wee couldn't use the foyer & cafeteria. We did wait outside in the circular area outside. We almost went to the Star Wars Exhibition and AspieChave did an excellent job of negotiating a discount group entrance but only 2 of us were still enthusiastic enough even with the discount also some of us were really wanting to eat . We went for a walk across the bridge to Villiers Street where we went to an Italian restaurant where pasta and Pizza was eaten ant there was no problems with the waitress did not try to rip us off :) We then went to a nearby garden where we found some deck chairs where we had some pleasant discussion until we were kicked out and we walked back to Waterloo and went our different ways home.

Iceb, thanks for (not!! !!) getting back to me! :shameonyou:

Like I said, I wanted to go, but your last pm made it sound like it wasn't happening.

I only have internet access at work so I need the arrangements confirmed in good time please.

And there was a load of s**t going on at work on Friday pm (me & a colleague had a death threat, long story!) so I didn't see the post on the thread, even though I did check it after I got the pm.

Hope you didn't wait around for me.

And you never answered my question, why the National Theatre?

No we didn't wait around too long and I did get your PM saying you believed it was not going to happen.

As has been said we do want to make this a regular event so there will definatly be other opertunities to meet.

It was where we had our first meet.
Unfortunatly this time it was closed so I think another place may well be found in future.

There are people in the genral Ontario area near the bottom of this list and the next page:
http://www.wrongplanet.net/modules.php? ... start=1350

I would contact anyone that has posted and has been on fairly recently like this year by checking their profile. You need to search for any location variations you can think of. They can put anything for location so browse for towns, counties, regions, etc.

Indeed so. I felt like flirting with her, too, which was weird for me :P

It was just one of those things. Normally I'd still have been in the office when the confirmation post went up on the thread, but we had to go to the police station to report the death threat & then I had to be escorted to the train station.

It was a complete nuisance, especially as nothing ever came of it & the police weren't even interested anyway.

Hopefully nothing will go wrong next time! I figured it was about time I got to know people of my own kind instead of being in denial of who I am.
