Hello! My name is Lee. I'm 25 and reside in Tallahassee, FL. I live here, because I am going to school to get a Doctorate degree in Music Performance (I play the oboe and English horn). I am hoping to one day teach at a college or university and/or play in a symphony orchestra. I have other interests that include writing, drawing, meteorology, psychology, going to bookstores, drinking too much coffee, creating things, and researching things. I would love to meet other people for friendship.

Hi,

I'm a male of 36. My country of origin is Soviet Union, but I moved to the US 15 years ago and lived in Los Angeles ever since. My name is Igor and I’m acutely aware of the movie Young Frankenstein. I have an American wife I met by posting a personal ad on a web site and we have a child.

I've never heard of Asperger's until very recently and in all likelihood I don’t have it, since my level of functioning is very high. I do possess certain related traits though, such as I’m occasionally a little obsessive (especially looking for stuff), and too often take things literally and can’t read people. I’m also quite private. The advice on self-disclosure found in self-help books on making friends makes me uncomfortable. Only people really close to me would see the emotional side of me. And there is more but the list is getting too long and boring. I'm not particularly proud of these traits but I don't think I can be different.

For the fun stuff now. I like to play music even though I’m not very good at it. In fact I have released an album which is doing relatively well on Amazon and have another one ready for release which should be even better. I like playing some sports as long as it's on friendly not overly competitive terms. I’m into hiking as well, but only easy trails. I like a variety of music, books and some movies, although I’m rather picky and if I like something I may not like something else that others may consider naturally related.

This site is too big and I’m still looking around, but if you find my interests interesting, please send me a PM.

Hi, my name is Tomas and I'm from Sweden. Got my formal diagnosis in November 2006. After some years of mistakes by the psychiatric team that should have done the diagnosis they was disbanded. So I was evaluated by another group.

In June 2007, I will be 42. I'm a self-taught artist, musician, madcap, book collector, writer. I used to spend hours each day on AFF, but that site has problems now and can't be accessed.

 Tomas

Hey y'all.

Jon, 27/M, USA-NC. I love my home state's mountains. Model railroading is one of my all-consuming interests. Photography, camping/hiking, travel, and tinkering with about anything mechanical are some of my other interests.

I spend way too much time sitting here at my computer, but I enjoy it. Catch me on AIM if ya want to shoot the breeze, it's "jonwithouth".

I feel like I need to connect a little more to people my age and older so here it goes. My name is Joshua and I'm a 19-year-old freshman at Central Washington University. I'm high functioning with AS and I love music and video games. I was diagnosed with AS when I was nine years old. I was never born with AS. Instead, it is a side-effect from the seizures that I had when I was little. I finally joined this website when I decided that it was time to connect with people like me and learn how to support others before I decide to focus on becoming an Autism specialist.

Wallingford in Seattle is my neighborhood. I don't think I should say anymore.

i'm a 24 yro male in Bristol, England. I'm in uni doing a PhD, I am originally from Mexico but have lived in several countries. I love to read (fiction: 'serious' literature except poetry, also Terry Pratchett; non-fiction: history). For fun, I also draw, watch films & tv (good thrillers, news, art cinema, documentaries and British comedy), cook (sometimes a hobby, sometimes a chore). I do have a sense of humour even though my interests sound very serious.
I do not have a formal diagnosis but my childhood is described to a T by 'The Complete Guide to Aperger's Syndrome.' I am an only child.
I have no friends in England so I'd love to make some.

Hello. My name is John, I think that I may have AS, but I am not 100 per cent. I would like to meet young people who have the condition, so I can get a better sense of whether I should go for a diagnosis. I want to make some new friends anyway. Is there anyone from Wolverhampton in the UK?

Hi, my real name is Richard, I have been posting here for a while time but haven't felt comfortable enough to post in a thread like this.

I was diagnosed with Aspergers at age 14.

I am a 26 year old male and live near Greenville South Carolina in the United states.

I have many interests though I dabble in many things as opposed to concentrating on any one particular subject.

I am looking for a possible internet correspondence with a fellow adult aspie or two who enjoys talking about a wide variety of subjects and like to partake in the occasional light hearted sarcasm, and have, or tolerate a sometimes dark sense of humor. I am not looking for anything deep at this time, just some similarly minded people to chat with from time to time.

Feel free to send me a private message if interested.
