There's also the scenario where you are in a big gathering and other people talk to each other in pairs, threes or groups, but you get totally left out of the conversaton with everyone and anyone, you can tell from everyone's body language.

This happened to me tonight when I was in a big gathering. It was a curry night with about 40-50 guys there (it was male only) and this happened when we all met in the bar before the meal.

When we moved through to the restaurant for the meal, it was a different story because I sat with people I'm friendly with. But when I'm left out of conversation in groups, it would be too easy to accuse people of being cliquey, but I don't think so at all. It's my limited social interaction ability kicking in.

Anyway, was just wondering how other Aspies have handled that particular scenario?

i find it hard when talking to more than one person cant follow converstions well and the ones i do catch onto i try always the say something but i interrupt somebody else, then when i start talkin its mentioned to me that i 'never shut up' but i just say everything i want to say out loud untill i have finished the thing i was sayin. if somebody interrupts me back i get angry and then forget what it was i was talking about.
