Uh, because life isn't a video game, mostly.

Stop obsessing/worrying about this girl that you screwed up with. There are 6 billion people on the planet, roughly half of which are female. I'm sure you'll find another that you enjoy the company of.

The friendship systems that appear in video games (including the Sims) are heavily oversimplified.

I would be very satisfied if friendships followed a systematic rule like that, but unfortunately no, because humans, especially NTs have a huge variety of emotions and they like to interpret things in an indirect manner, which leads to the excessive distortion of relationships.

I imagine that giving a gift to an Aspie would be received more positively, like in the video game though!

However, in real life, a girl who doesn't love you anymore won't accept your gifts, even though you know for sure that she loves them and never gets tired of them. But she doesn't accept them simply because they only came from you.

Accepting a gift from someone in that situation would make me feel guilty/obligated/like I was using them/like they were trying to manipulate me into liking them again. I would not be able to divorce the gift from the expected response.

I play The Sims sometimes. I noticed today that all of my sims are loners with high end computers and the social life of a tomato.

Hanging around too many sims stresses me out. FML

You know what, all my sims are the same way. Dad bought me the "World adventures" expansion pack. I now realize that I find it exhausting to have my sims travel.

I like nature-oriented sims the best.

Totally off topic, it's just a revelation for me that somebody can be like me.
