It still could be that the texts didn't go through. Sometimes I don't get my texts. If it's important, they will just email or call and ask if I got the text that I never got.

Also, some people don't respond to every text, since they don't see texting as a serious form of communication. If you really want to talk to someone, you should call them, or just talk to them in person. A lot of times, if I get a text that doesn't actually ask a question or anything, I don't even think to respond.

I have a friend I used to see all the time. Before he got a job, he always responded to my texts. Since getting a job, he rarely responds at all. I know he's busy all the time now, but when i get a text, I always make time to respond, even if I can't when I first receive it. It's something I still struggle with, just trying to be understanding of others.

I received that message about 4 weeks after the date it was sent.. that is not the only one like that either
it still happens.

She also could be away and her cell could be needing charging.

Heck, I can go days with mine plugged in and completely forget about it. longest was a week.. maybe two.

That's because everyone sends messages at once and the system can't handle so many, so it takes longer to process them all.
