Saying "I love you" can mean different things. Sometimes, people say it when they're in love. Other times, people say it to their family or friends if they are close. But just because you said it to your friend, it doesn't mean you are in love with her. It means you are close to her and you care about her. It was just a misunderstanding on her boyfriend's part. It also sounds like he's the jealous type. I don't think you have anything to feel guilty about.
