He looks like he needs a hug to me. Perhaps that's what he needed all along.
There's an old myth that you can tell bad people by looking them in the eye. I don't know why it won't die as it's clearly hogwash. After all, if it worked, how do these people escape detection? And, given the typical aspie traits with regards to expression and eye contact, what do you think are the odds of us being identified as psychopaths if it was used?

Ultimately the problem is that "evil" doesn't exist. People can do horrible and malicious things. Sometimes they even mean to. But you can't divide up the world into good people and evil people. It doesn't make sense. There are just people. Even Hitler liked to paint, Bin Laden loved volleyball and Gadaffi found time to raise a family. Mother Teresa encouraged poverty, Isaac Newton was into alchemy and Leonardo da Vinci doodled plans for war machines in the margins.

Good and evil are just labels attached to things. We are supposed to do good and prevent evil, and there are plenty of people willing to say which is which. Interestingly, they don't all agree, though most do agree that you shouldn't question them.

I'm not in the mood for this crap. I'm going to jail anyway" while the son of a b***h murdered 50 innocent people in a very short period of time. Like you really can tell from his stare alone that he certainly is the guilty one, cops won't be needing any proof because there is no sign of bad feeling whatsoever in his head, he doesn't feel guilt, he doesn't feel fear.

You are making your assertion in the knowledge that he has already done something "evil", if you knew nothing about him you could not conclude anything from what he looks like.

I of course wouldn't tell he's a murderer if I didn't knew what he did, but I wouldn't class him as a sensitive/shy person either. He looks like a soldier to me, the best excuse he can get is that he's in the military or an actor and I'm not saying soldiers are insensitive/bad people, but he just doesn't look sensitive at all to me, he's very trained physically also.

This is Anders Behring Breivik. A far right wing sociopath that murdered over 50 people. The thing is, you can tell something isn't right just by looking at him.

For a moment I thought this was you until I read underneath. I was going to say, you look familiar. :p

Aside from that I can't tell since I haven't been around enough evil people. I have a strong naivety with most people in general Just today this person that has been bothering me for a while went psycho on me so I finally unfriended them. I really have trouble reading the "red flags" so to speak and until it gets out of hand do I take action. There have been a couple of people I've met in my sheltered life that gave me the "creepy and uneasy" vibe. Turns out one of them who was my neighbor molested his daughter for a period of time. I was about the same as her when I first met him and her family, 9.

To me, looking at somebody causes quite the opposite. No matter how evil somebody seems to be, when I look at her/his face I realise that there is nothing like "evil", the character "evil" doesn't exist. But I can see if somebody is insane.

Your original question implied that you were asking if we are able to tell if someone is "evil" without any prior knowledge of their character.

Easy. The darker their skin, the more evil they must be.

Ok, bad joke, but it does point out the danger of trying to judge character based on appearance.

When I look at people, I just see...people. :?
Presuming certain character traits or deeds based on arrangement of facial features would seem at face value about as objectively-reliable as predicting when the rainy season will arrive by "reading" the entrails of sacrificed goats.

That picture kinda makes him look void and emotionless. There's no lifeful glints in his eye, but that's due to the lighting.

When I saw other pics of him after the massacre happened I thought he was rather handsome. That's one thing I've observed about psychos and narcissists, they're usually handsome.

What a beautiful psycho.

You don't predict the weather by sacrificing goats? How odd.

I know. You can also tell which new series in the fall line up will only get one season. Goat entrails is where it's at, I'm telling ya. And the magic 8 ball.

In real life no, in anime it's a lot easier.

Evil eyes are narrow and slanty:

Good eyes are big and round:

In real life a lot of people probably just project onto others what they want or expect to see, especially if the person isn't showing any emotion. I've had people think all kinds of things about me because of my flat affect that were wrong.
