Been a gamer since 1993.

Sonic was my first game before I got into the Playstation Era of games (Crash, Spyro, MGS) and continued up until now.

Have all the current consoles and getting the Vita soon!

RPG games, PC games, console games, board games, puzzle games, games games games. My household of five adults is all gamers, and we have on-going RPG campaigns and LAN parties pretty often.

I love it when I get asked about my LFD2 hoodie, my "cake is a lie" poster at work, or my Aperture and Black Mesa coffee mugs - depending on what/how I'm asked, I'll know if the other person is another gamer instantly.

Another gamer here!

It would take too long to type everything I tend to play / like, but for a general idea:

Final Fantasy
Doom
Legend of Zelda
Call of Duty
Advance Wars
Guitar Hero
Ratchet and Clank
Many more!

Also I need some help. My DS is a bit broken. I dropped it and the hinge is almost going to come off. I can still use it for now but it will clearly go sooner or later.

What do you think is a better replacement? DSi or DS Lite?

I would get a 3DS but the 3D doesn't really work for me :(

I work in a gaming store and I'll be selling them today :)

I used to be an addictive gamer but ever since I started working in a gaming retail environment I don't play as much. I am strictly PC and am on Steam. I used to be BIG into L4D2 (16 hours a day on 10v10 modded servers ftw!). But I also play BC2 & BF3 online. It would be cool to Skype up with one of you guys and blast some zombies :D.

Computer only. Mostly Paradox Interactive games (Europa Universalis III, Crusader Kings, Victoria/Victoria II, Heart of Iron, etc.), some other strategy games (Battle for Wesnoth, Civ 3 when I was younger, Rome: Total War), a few RPGs (Morrowind, Mount & Blade). And Freecell (1500 games on my new computer, after 3 months...).

Yeah, I am a gamer. You may know that considering how often I post in the Games and Video Games area.

Would a Gamertag/PSN ID thread be a bad idea? I play BF3 and Gears 3 online on 360. Not currently Gold at the minute as I have a game backlog on PS3. First time in 4 years I haven't renewed my sub.

I'm playing The Old Republic and Mount&Blade (1, Warband, and WF&S) mostly, but I've got a nice long list of games uninstalled on steam right now.

Autistic girl gamer here :)
Right now I'm bored with my games, even after buying a new one.

Why is it that when the word "Gamer" is mentioned, only computer and video-system games are discussed?

:(

What kind of games are you in to?

I always liked 'I Spy' when in the car and Scrabble at home and a 2+ hour session on Monopoly was rare but brilliant. I also wish I understood Chess more.

Tabletop RPGs are my thing ... were, since all of the local gaming clubs have switched to Warhammer-like games, and most "gamers" nowadays would be lost without their technology.

I used to play Magic The Gathering back in school but stopped once I left. There is a digital version on Steam but it's never the same. I can imagine traditional gaming to be quite sparse, mostly because it is easier to connect and play with people online using the digital platform. There are more players, there is more choice and there is more challenge.
Unfortunately I don't know anyone who plays D&D or Magic anymore.

AD&D is a role-playing game.

Magic: The Gathering is a card game.

Please, do not equate the two.

They are both table-top games, that's the link I was making.
