That's why I don't take those online tests what often come up in threads on WP, like ''emotion in the eye'' tests or ''facial expressions'' tests. It's still not enough information to just see a close-up image of a pair of eyes, with 4 multiple choice options what could all mean one facial expression sometimes. I need some sort of context behind it too, which is why I can read non-verbal social things with people in real life but always fail when taking these online tests. I always thought that was why social and emotional expressions in cartoons were more exaggerated and simplified, so that it is easier for viewers to read.
