Passive Aggression
That's the kind of excuse i accept once or twice, not more...
Agreed. That's called not wanting to be responsible for your own actions.
As for those videos, I did not know that blaming other people and victimizing oneself came with passive aggressive.
I watched the first video only.
(1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5O0byrA2HZk )
The first impression when you watch this video is:
Character 1: kind girl asking for ice-cream, asking for attention, asking for help
Character 2: little angry Hitler refusing to buy ice-cream, to give time to character 1 and refusing to help all the time
I thing it is a good video because it shows how users perceive the situation when someone resists being used by them. They see themselves very kind and the other aggressive.
If you look at the facts and get rid of subjective emotional interpretations of a typical user,
(interpretation deliberately showed and exaggerated in the video), it gives this:
Character 1: - harrassing and victimizing herself - harrasing daily character 2 for "ice-cream", (not a life-sensitive food...). This character 1 is not disabled and could very well simply go and buy her ice-cream, find someone who is not busy if she wants to chat and do things with others.
Character 2: - resisting and avoiding the harrassing user - busy reading books and trying to concentrate on work on computer, trying to avoid the energy-driving person. This character 2 is not asking anything, and indeed doesn't need the user.
The video is diabolizing the person resisting to the user, showing her attitude as aggressive. The video is victimizing the user, showing her attitude as kindly requesting and never getting her ice-cream, poor girl.
This is indeed how a user interprets a situation where the other person is resisting the user. Interesting video!
