I am finding since diagnosis that I am less and less bothered about having friends. Because I've been good at making myself seem sociable I actually have more friends than I want and am trying to work out by trial and error how many I need and who, and how often etc. I definitely have a desire for SOME friendships, but I have a few very close friends I've known for 15 years and to be honest, I'm not too bothered about any others.
