I also sampled some cookies.

It's best to speak to the vendor before sampling the cookies. And if you sample, you should buy.

I told her that I had put my card into the jar

Again, best to ask before putting your card in her jar. Her response was probably because you were stating the obvious, she likely saw you put your card in the jar, and because you hadn't asked if you could.

I went on to take a flier and tell her "You deserve to have a bakery because these are really good."

Again, you are telling her something she knows. I'm sure she would love to have her own bakery.

Just small etiquette errors. No big deal. Writing a bad review was inappropriate, I think.

At Farmer's Markets here, vendors often set a dish of samples out for people to sample freely. Also, the card in the jar thing is not something a person would ask permission concerning.

if you're feeling bad about it by now, i think she would probably welcome an apology, even if it's anonymous again. just say you've been under stress or something like that

Yeah, but you don't just walk up and take something without speaking to the person first.

I disagree, there has to be some sort of connection first.

No, I think you were being polite. The woman selling cookie samples was being an a**, and took her problems out on an innocent victim like you.
