I've had many friendships turn out like this. It is frustrating, when this keeps on happening. I'm beginning to think that narcissists, sociopaths, and the like are attracted to those of us on the spectrum. I'm trying to figure out how to protect myself better from this, and how to tell sooner that these people are vampires.
