As always, I was hoping to find someone here who has something unexpected and interesting to say. As always, it seems I was hoping for too much.

Hey man, gotta say, loved your work as the protagonist in the anime Death Note. Very convincing performance of someone who commits mass murder just because they think they are smarter than everyone  .

that's not a healthy attitude to have. you may have genius IQ but there will always be people from which you can learn. Unless you are literally a machine I am confident there are areas in which you can improve yourself (e.g. appearing likeable - which may seem silly but carries huge weight in social transactions and helping you connect with others).

speaking of being brilliant - i'm not sure it's brilliant to put a sig to his uni, which basically leads to him, and you learn about his education in two min, and find out his name, surname, forum....everything.

seriously alex, you think it's a "brilliant" thing to do? it's generally advised to leave out any personal information here.....but hey, it's your choice.

lol

well if he needs to advertise his PhD so much i'd say he doesn't really think of himself as "brilliant". seriously, where did you see any really intelligent person boasting about their IQ?

I better not remind him what Stephen Hawking called such people.

It's not his university, it's just a personal website. Actually, this has all been an advanced clickbait scheme. And both you and me fell for it.

well it has links to his personal website, but also to his uni in Denmark....but now he's in Ohio, teaching kids some science, but apparently adults are too stupid for him.

well alex, you're not the only one interested in cyanobacteria in fjords. my 6-year-old daughter knows about them, about fern trees and petrified forests even if she doesn't have a PhD yet :P

I feel like the word unexpected is being misinterpreted here haha. but it'd be cool to read/hear the words of people who don't believe that they're creating their lives and who are working towards becoming or have become feral.
Or, as the original post indicates, whether or not anyone else relates to experiencing almost every person as essentially unconscious, not that I would be able to recognize if someone actually was feeling anything similar of course.

it's not like I think there's anything "wrong" with any of the responses so far. most of the time I'm just incompatible with people it's no one's fault understanding just rarely happens in either direction

EDIT: I wrote this before reading page two. there is absolutely something wrong with a number of the responses hahahaha.
