The worst places to travel and socialize:
Citrus County or anywhere else in Central Florida.
Chloride, Arizona and its ilk.
That weird little 'town' near Death Valley that's ravaged by dust storms.
Death Valley itself.
The little shacks that lie just off of Route 66.
Anywhere in Kansas.

I'll think of more later.

While on the subject of central Florida, there's this town in Lake County just off the Florida turnpike called Howey In The Hills. My question is, who is Howey and what is he doing in the hills? That part of Florida is pretty inland from the coast with those rolling hills. However, Marion and Lake counties is pushing it as far as where I'd want to live in Florida. Too many rich people who want material things.

Personally, I like the anonymity that big cities offer. I live in a medium-sized town, and I can't even pop down the shops without seeing someone who knows me.

I agree with you 100%. I love big cities.

Well, someone said South Florida sucks and someone said Central Florida sucks. Guess what, so does NE Florida. Although I seem to avoid every hurricane, there is random thunder storms all throughout the fall, winter, and spring (especially fall). That, and traffic gets worse every year. It's now safe to say that all of Florida is terrible and over rated.

Northeast Florida is overrated. Heck, Jacksonville has the Jaguars, and no one goes to them anymore. They used to be good. Then they got beat by the Tennessee Titans and didn't get to the super bowl. After that, everyone thought the Jaguars were stupid. They practically have to beg people to come to those games now.

Finally, someone understand my hate of this place! No one really cares about the Jags anymore, and word is they might move! :D
The weather here sucks too. Humidity year round.

My ideal social setting is either sitting around with the neighbors, or being an international jet-setter meeting WP members. Unfortunately, I only have the resources to do the former.

Well, it would be awesome if WP members could meet up... neighbours are nice. Usually. Unfortunately, the only neighbours who know me seem to hate me for some reason or another. ;)

Another bad place for the humidity: Carolinas. Or probably anywhere on the East Coast USA, for that matter...
