I have four cats and a Sheltie (dog) :) I love them with all my heart and they are wonderful.

Over the course of my childhood, these are the pets I or my immediate family have owned:

Current Pets:

Gizmo - Cat (lives with my dad, 9 years old)
Kojiro - Cat (lives with my father, used to be my stepsister's cat, but my dad got divorced, 9 years old)
Lily - Sheltie (lives with me, is 4 years old)
Zoe - Cat (lives with me, 3 years old)
Olly - Kitten (lives with me, 4 months old)

Past Pets:

Elka - Cat (lived to be 17)
Sidney - Cat (lived to be 12...he went outside one day and never came back)
Sunshine, Rocko, DeeDee, Nina, and 23 others - Girbils (I bred them, I gave the other 23 away, and kept the last four until they died of old age)
Hubert - Redeared Slider Turtle (my brother refused to take care of him so we gave him to my dad's neighbor who has a billion cats and takes care of wild animals until they're healthy again)

I have 3 cats. The oldest cat, Little, is a female calico and is 19 years old. She's constantly cranky, but I always say that she has the right to be because she's an old lady. Then I have Jupiter, who is a 9 year old female black cat. She has all black fur, and deep green eyes. She has recently been diagnosed as diabetic, so I have to give her a special diet and probably insulin shots in the future. Finally we have Percy, who is an orange male tabby cat and probably between 8 and 10 years old (when we found him he was between 3 and 5 years old). He's just a big ball of love, although he likes to bite. He picks on the other two, so I call him Percy Cuter (say it fast aloud, it sounds like persecutor). Percy is named after the astronomer Percival Lowell, who was the guy who decided that there were canals on Mars and predicted the existence and position of Pluto (which was more just luck than anything else).

I have 5 dogs: one Noa lives in the apartment with the rest of my family. She's a sweet dog and she's 9; 2 live in the garden they're a strange couple because one ,Nigel, is very cute and sweet ,the other one ,Mostro, has lived at home since she was 10 days(my sister found her), she's extremely jeoulus of the family and she doesn't want other dogs to come near us, if they do she will attack them. The other 2 dogs, Athos and Ciccino, live with my father.Ciccino used to live in the garden but she was attacked by Mostro and was shocked ,fortunatly ,living in the country, she's slowly recovering.

I had a lot of dogs in my life.I've never had less than four dogs.I love them all.

Right now I only have one pet - a black cat that we usually just call "The Girl" (she had a brother that we called "The Boy", but he disappeared).

I just recently lost my first cat, Pip (also a black one), at the age of 15 due to an eye infection and serious digestive problems - boy, he was one of the most affectionate, loving cats ever.

I've had other cats as well - my second cat was a tabby named Whisper (though eventually we mostly started calling him Crisp) who died a few years ago, and there were four others after that (two tabby siblings named Leo and Sissy, a very shy black-and-white cat named Booker, and a hyper furry orange-and-white cat named Meow-Meow) that just disappeared.

My very first pet, and possibly my favorite was a Boston terrier named Buddy. He came into my life when I was 3, and was such a wonderful bundle of love and fun. Unfortunately he got run over at the age of 7. I had one more dog after that, Lucky (a black Lab mix), which I never got quite as attached to, but it was still very sad when he died at the age of 2 from seizures.

Finally, I once had a trio of goldfish named Joe, Moe, and John (named after my neighbors). Moe died pretty early on from jumping out of the tank, and Joe and John were eventually were given to the local pizza parlor, as they had a bigger tank. We would still visit them frequently.

I'm very fond of rats and other small mammals, but they die too quickly. Newts, on the other hand, endure until the end of time. I have three:

Molly-- Japanese Fire-Bellied Newt (Cynops pyrrhogaster) that is probably female

Angillas-- Mandarin Newt (Tylototriton shanjing)

And an unnamed (I got lazy) Spotted Paddle-Tail Newt (Pachytriton labiatus)

When I lived with my mum and sister, I also lived with my two cats,
just regular male moggies, but I love them.

I really miss not having something alive around to be my friend, so I'm thinking of getting something small to have with me in my new flat
