I have an online friend that I feel close to.

I have a real life friend that I still consider my best friend, even though we never really talk or see each other.

I have one close friend, hes the first real close friend Ive ever had. I used to have a sorta close friend back in highschool but I dont really see her anymore.

i have about 10 close friends online and 0 irl

but thats gonna change when i move outta my house and intotowns

I recently got into a big argument with a close friend of mine that made me question the whole friendship.

other than him i've got four-ish. I met two girls during a trip to Europe (my school was grouped with a school from Manitoba) and i kept in touch with them and we've become pretty close. another girl that was on the rowing team last year but changed schools, kept in touch with her and we talk alot on msn. The last one is where the four-ish comes in. We're definitely friends, we're both in engineering, both hang out, but i don't talk to her much or hang out with her much outside of school. The reason i'd say she's probably a close friend is because while i was in the hospital for a few days (acute kidney failure, rowing incident, long story short it went away) and she dropped by without me asking or anything, and hung around a bit while i was passed out (morphine's a hell of a drug). that's when i kind of realized that i do care for her alot, even though we don't talk much.

one real life close friend

I have about twenty very close best friends in real life and a few dozen more at different levels; kind of on a various outer circles. Online I don't have any particular buddies, I just try to talk to everyone a little bit.

Just three really close friends. And one of those is real new, we've only been friends a few months but we related right away. Then one has moved out of state a year ago so she could go back to school.

I have one really close friend from high school, but he seems to be drifting away from me. And he never calls me or e-mails me to ask how I'm doing or anything. So I'm down to zero.

can i consider s.o. my close friends without knowing for sure if they regard me as their close friends?

two. sometimes I hate them passionately, through no fault of their own, and other times I'm immensely grateful.

I have one close friend in real life, and three or four online (three of which I've met in real life, and had a really good time with).

Only one who happens to be my ex but now lives miles away. Had one before but I realised that I got little or even nothing out of the relationship so I ended it. I used to travel 60 miles to visit them every other weekend but in the four years I knew them they never once came to visit me, despite telling everyone I was their 'best friend'.

My answer would differ depending on when you asked me. If I went broad, I'd say that I have two close friends, but if I should be precise, they're simply closer than others. The first I've simply grown apart from, and the second is often to far away see on any kind of regular basis. That being said, I do value his friendship.
