cool! I have a pair of brogues! :)

And women who dress up ALL the time seem deceitful to me. Dressing up is for occasions where one has need to dress up.

Of course my brogues are black and white, and I usually refer to them as spectator's.

I am not generally very clean-looking, but that is mostly because I hate how tight clothes feel. Everything I wear: Shirts, pants, sneakers, it is all loose-fitting and baggy. My hair is also messy, but it is naturally curly and will not lay flat no matter how much I comb it.

I normally look like a dork... I shower regularily, but I wear the same things often... I normally buy more than one version of item at the same time, so I don't have to try it on. I have no fashion sense, but love linux-tshirts :)

I just think that clothing is irrelevant and takes too much time, which I could spend doing things, I like.

If it doesn't have to lay flat, don't try to force it to. My hair is also curly and I can tell from experience that it never will lay flat, fighting nature is a losing battle.

Here's what I do with mine: I put some gel in it and run my hand back and forth over it for a while. This makes the strands of my hair stick together and form curls that make my mom and my sister jealous. 8)

i have one two tone pair, and one very shiny plain black patent pair which are a little pointy. I'm now having to dissaude myself from buying more, I get very excited about them.

I actually think that if I could bring myself to be a little more consistant, and make sure I look good all the time, it might really benefit me. I might meet a man in my normal life - at the moment i would never get looked at. I might be respected more at work.

Each to their own, too, my boss comes into work each day in these tight dresses with fishnets and has long, blonde hair, but I think she's great.

I shower every day and I like to feel clean. However, I don't give a damn about my appearance. I hate makeup, especially because I have sensitive eyes which get easily irritated. Whenever I dress nicely all the men look at me like I'm a delicious chunk of steak. I hate it, it makes me feel like an object. I deliberately try to be unattractive, it makes me feel free and protected.

Not really one for aesthetics myself. If I need to, I'll handsome myself up. Otherwise, it's such a hassle...like getting haircuts, I've got quite the mop on my head at the moment all because I'd rather just not go and sit in that awkward chair, having incredibly awkward small talk with my barber all the while having no idea where I should shift my eyes focus.

Convenience > Self-appearance, in my opinion.

I'm not very fashion-conscious at all. What the latest fashions are never really matter to be. However I always make sure I wash, smell nice and look presentable. It's basic manners really.

I totally disagree with your statement! I do care about my appearance. The way you present yourself is very important.

Oh my gosh....I can totally relate to that!
I hate people looking at me like a "delicious chuck of steak". Although, I don't deliberately try to be unattractive to avoid it now. If someone looks at me, I ignore it.

In regards to caring about appearance...I would say that I care about hygene more than I do appearance. I shower once every day, sometimes every second if I am feeling lazy and I brush my teeth twice each day as recommended. I comb my hair if needed, otherwise I just generally tie it up to keep it out of the way. Make-up...I avoid it for many reasons. One of them being I see it as a waste of money and time, and another reason is that a lot of it is tested on animals and I wont use anything that has been tested on animals.
It's not that I don't care about appearance, but I don't see that dressing up is important.

I take a shower every day. Actually I can't stand the feeling of having not showered, wasn't always that way of course. Otherwise I don't care what people think of me looks-wise. Why? Well I don't know. I suppose I'm lazy and if people can't accept my natural way of being (not wearing makeup, not dressing up, not caring for fashion) then they're not worth my time.

I've never really been fashion-conscious at all (and on weekends I tend to wear my Friday clothes). I do shower regularly, and shave during the week - but not at the weekend - unless it's a special occasion - as I really hate shaving.

Generally I wear what I'm comfortable with, and ignore trends. Why would I spend money on stuff that will be out of style in ten minutes?

That kind of describes me. For the most part, I do want to look good, and I do want people to notice me. But often times, when I go out somewhere, I don't really care about what I look like. I wear the same clothes a lot too. And yes, there are days when I don't even feel motivated to take a shower -- I have to force myself to shower. Plus, I hate having to shave my face. However, I suffer from depression, so I attribute my lack of motivation (when it comes to showering and taking care of my appearance) to depression.
