I live in MD. I'm only 17 and don't have a car, so any possible transportation arrangements would be invaluable. I can fly places, but I'd need someone to pick me up from the airport and someone to stay with.

I'll settle for somewhere closer than London or Canada. Other aspies are hard to find, unfortunately.

That's exactly right! :) :D Although I wish someone would make a meetup for the Atlantic Northeast.

if you go on meetup.com {you have to be a member} there are groups for autism spectrum disorders along with groups for everything you could think of {or at least almost everything} such as social anxiety,other mental disorders and shyness. you should look it up.even if there arent any other meetup groups they list people in your area who list the same interests.

problem is, i live so far out in the sticks that there is NOTHING out in my neck of the woods.

Northern CA here.

I know of one meet up group in the city next to mine but I haven't the guts to go see what it's like yet.

I am a male, I live in Kent, so a not impossible 30-40 minute drive to down-town Seattle (or wherever Pike Place Market is. I love that place, we should set up a meeting there. :D ) or a bus ride, or light rail or Amtrak or whatever it's called. Have there been any meetups between between in this thread yet?

Lived the last three years in Oregon, Portland is my safe place! Their motto is "Keep Portland Weird!" When I was there I did my part! I will be there again soon just traveling around now.
