Thanks yellowtamarin for the tip that this thread has had new activity!
I'm usually free on weekends, at least one day per weekend anyway. I'm also usually free in the evenings on weekdays.
Is the CBD the most convenient meeting place for everyone? If it is, we can narrow down the exact location later. When do you move to Melbourne, alessi?
CBD is best for me I expect. I will be moving pretty soon - within the next few weeks. I know no one in Melbourne so I would definitely love to come.

^ Aw, I replied to you once I saw it, then we organised a zoo trip, but you had bowed out of the convo.
I work full-time myself, it will most likely be held on the weekend to be the most manageable for the most people. Keep watching the thread anyway cyberdad, it might end up being held on a day you are free.

Did you encounter any difficulties with the previous event locations?
What kind of difficulties do you mean? I don't think that any of us who turned up had difficulties (other than finding the right gate at the Zoo but that's no biggy), but I couldn't say for sure...
Sensory issues and such.
I'm 21 and I still have quite intense sensory issues.
I can imagine going to the Melbourne airshow would have been quite painful.

Is this group still a thing?
Hello Mintygreen! I try to respond to stuff in this thread but nothing has actually happened in ages. I don't live in Melbourne anymore so I mentioned when I was in town for a boardgames event (once a month) but nobody seems interested, boo hoo
If you organise something and I'm in town, I'm still up for meeting more aspies!

Potentially interested in meetups? And by potentially I mean, potentially. I often bail on social events with people I've known for years... But still! Signing up for updates and maybe a catchup!

Are my hopes and aspirations Nothing but puke God, I'm so loooooonelaaaaaaayyyy *power stance, air guitar*
Does that sound suitable? It's not a specific aspie meetup but we could have some secret handshake to identify ourselves
I go to this event every month (normally indoors in the city) and it's heaps of fun.
