HI!

My name is Mason, and I just self-diagnosed myself a week ago. Now, I'm really looking for some Aspie friends to connect with. I'm married, and we just had our first child this past march. My wife is NT, mostly, and my daughter is only 9 months old so we'll see about her (I think she is NT). We live in NE Wisconsin but will be moving to SC soon (Greenville area).

I've always been 'off.' I'm not sure if anyone ever guessed me to be AS, but all the signs have been there most of my life. I guess that I'm close enough to NT that my AS is inconspicuous to many. Now that I know what I am, I don't have to fight it anymore or question myself. It's hard to believe that I only heard of AS a week ago, and now I'm immersed in it. I just don't know where to go next.

I'm Dan, 31 y/o from Chicago. I've recently become aware about AS and am definitely looking for other aspies to get to know in the city. I'm into local music, art, politics and stuff.

My name is Jeffrey. You can call me Jeff, or simply AL (for Abstract Logic). I am a 20-year-old student at Harper College studying Philosophy. Most of the time I'm reserved and aloof around people. I've been told that I have a dry sense of humor; I am usually the only one who laughs at my jokes or sarcasms. I am not much of a practical joker, but more of a theoretical joker **chuckle** ^_^.

I have Asperger's Syndrome and mild OCD (pure-O).

I enjoy going to libraries (especially university libraries), bookstores, museums, coffee shops, and spending quality time with my family. I also like to play video-games from time to time.

I have an obsession with gaining knowledge about fascinating topics like philosophy, history, geography, mathematics, physics, psychology, and anthropology among many others. Learning about languages is fun, too. Someday I want to learn classical languages like Latin and Greek, as well as study Latin and Greek culture and literature. I also like to do freelance writing from time to time.

Favorite Music:

Rush, Muse, Ozzy, Pix, Rhapsody, Arcade Fire, Nina Simone, the Decemberists, the Kinks, Dream Theater, J.S. Bach, Vanessa Mae, Interpol, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Ronnie J. Dio, Neil Young, Crosby Stills Nash And Young, King Crimson, Genesis (prior to 1980), Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, America, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, UFO, Simon & Garfunkel, old Metallica, old Green Day, and many more.

Favorite Video-Games:

- The entire Resident Evil Series
- The original Pokemon games for GBC
- Sim City for SNES
- Sid Meier's Civilization IV
- Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
- 007 Goldeneye for N64
- GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas
- WWF Wrestlemania 2000 for N64
- Return to Castle Wolfenstein for PC
Yep, I sure miss those days when I was younger, being obsessed with these games. Great times! I'm looking forward to playing Resident Evil 5 in the Spring. :D

Favorite Books:

- The Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene
- The Mathematical Universe by William Dunham
- A Beautiful Math by Tom Siegfried
- A Beautiful Mind by Sylvia Nasar
- Piaget's Conception of Evolution by John G. Messerly
- Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl
- Socrates to Sartre: A History of Philosophy by Samuel Enoch Stumpf
- The Power of Babel: A Natural History of Language by John McWhorter

I have have decided to resign from WP.

Hi! My name is Bryan. I am 23 from Jacksonville, Florida and always game for a few new friends.

To describe me would be either setting up incorrect expectations or doing myself a disservice because I don't think words properly describe me, but here I go:

Recently diagnosed w/ Aspergers. I'm into everything from the finer things in life to the bottom of the barrel. Eating brie and drinking good wine to getting chicken from the ghetto hole in the wall with the glass that has the bullet holes.

I'm into video games, reading, comics, music, television... and to name specifics in those categories would be unfair to everything I don't include. I like to talk about everything and nothing, from the sky to political science. I have a very changable style of dress and behavoir that I am refining on a daily basis.

I like things to be challenging and things that are challenging, including relationships, because without challenge there is no growth and to an extent, no true enjoyment.

Anyway, not that many friends, so I hope this SOS reaches some ears. Especially looking for people in Jacksonville to hang with, new friends to hang with, especially more Aspergians(hate Aspie... too cutesy.)

Peace!

Hey i'm 19, i was born in Sydney, Australia and lived there all my life. I am not officially diagnosed with Aspergers and may not be, but i've been told by a psychologist that i could be diagnosed with it, but he feels its best i not seek a diagnosis for it, as i take it he thinks he can help me. Eh regardless, i think i may stop seeing him, as my developmental issues are not curable. Having said this, the only things i do know is that from age 6-10 according to proper official tests conducted by counsellors, i had a low verbal and a low non-verbal IQ. Verbal being the worst. My processing speed is also very slow and i was diagnosed with 'language difficulties' and 'ADD' at 6.

What are my interests? BMX, this is by far my strongest interest, its honestly what i think about and day dream about 50% of the day. I also take an avid interest human anthropology, human geography and modern histories. In general i prefer topics related to the humanities then sciences. I do know alot about music and used to obssessively review it on websites and download it frequently as a kid . . . I think my studies unfortunately stopped me however. In general i like Metal (especially industrial metal), Electronica, early pop music (darker kinds are good too) and many other sorts of music. Editing BMX videos and photography and filming related to extreme sports i also find fun. I also really like riding around the city with a few others or alone when ever i can. I love Sydney city! I do have friends, but the extent of the friendship is a worry and i've learnt to accept being left out alot. I would definitly love to make more friends online and hopefully someday have a girl friend. Things are tough i guess and its easy to feel demotivated alot, but im studying planning this year and am going to hope it works out alright. I worry a bit about the social environment many planners work in, but im sure i can compensate.

Hello, I am from India and I am presently of 20 years. I like working computers, driving cars (not bike), solving mathematical puzzles, writing stories, playing with small children. 8)
Actually, I am having savant syndrome. It is very tough for me to interact with the society but I had adopted this in a virtual way. My memory power is very weak in many of the cases, so I have to make database for my everyday routine life. :?:
I am thankful towards the god for giving me such a wonderful gift. :D
Thanks :D
