I am from Edmonds, Wa and my nickname in high school was "normal". I suspect a note of sarcasm when the nick name was used but I am not sure. I also had a lock(yes a lock collection) collection when I was 6 years old and learned to pick them with piano wire and a 10 lb sledge. I am writing this from a linux box. Coud I be i the right place?

Another Seattle aspie. I can't speak for all y'all, but for me living in the country's a no-go because of a) the high redneck quotient, b) I really hate getting dirty, and c) I have neither driver's license nor car and the suburbs were isolating enough to be boring, never mind the actual country.

if i could afford to live in seattle, i probably would. :hmph: but at least the rednecks out here in the sticks don't preface their assaults with "what's up, cuz." that is a sinister sounding phrase if there ever was one.

in any case, there are seattle square pegs aspie meetups as well as ones in des moines [south king county WA].

Subject: Olympia Asperger's Meetup- Saturday, February 4, 2012 at noon

This is a little online space for the Olympia Asperger's Meetup, where we meet in Olympia, Washington. We will meet on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at noon.

Details on this meetup that happened can be found here:

http://www.meetup.com/Squarepegs/events/46090362/

If you're new to this meetup group, feel free to introduce yourself here and do swing by in person, we meet twice a month. We'd like to have you along!

Sometimes what we discuss is highly personal, so with this in mind, please let us keep the private details just amongst us meetup types. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

There's no agenda. We like to be organized in group discussion, where at least everyone is given the chance to introduce himself or herself and talk a bit, but there are no on-going topics to discuss. Life changes, we must move with it!

So, let the discussion begin, both online and offline!

Founding member, you'll definitely see me at the Seattle meetings, and occasionally at the south Sound one as well depending on my work schedule.

*bada-bump* (*rimshot*)

Hey, your no Jay Leno or Kevin Eubanks...! ! YOU ARE SO MUCH BETTER...! !

Besides, Jay... I'm told by the Interwebs that he steals jokes... *shock* ...so you have to me almost, like, I wouldn't even know, a grave robber or a sitting member of Congress before people start favoring Jay over you, Bruce.

I'm just sayin.' :P

Carry on. :D
