I have never done that, but I like these forums because I've never communicated with other aspies before. It's like I've arrived at my home planet.

I have a blog and I use the internet to replace most other typical forms of communication, ie. phone calls, mail, shopping, etc.

One reason I like to blog is because I can write about whatever I want and don't have to let anyone else have a turn to speak. Sometimes I don't understand the comments people leave me but I just delete the weird ones.

I am thinking about creating a blog about my experience with aspergers, I just haven't decided if I should use the wrongplanet format or link to my own. I only recently learned about my aspergers and I think I am starting to bother the people around me because it's all I can think or talk about at the moment. And I really need to get it all out. You guys are helping for sure.

For social sites. I don't know if I would say I bury myself with them, but I certainly do check them very often if someone tries to message me I check it for weeks even though its not likely they will send another message.

For games. I typically do bury myself in FPS/TPS games. They are my favorite games. Been playing same ones for years non-stop. I don't have to talk much or any to them. I can play and win and enjoy myself every time. I would like to talk more to people, but I have never liked the MMO/RPG type setting where you sit around and talk or run errand quests.

Other than WP, not really. I have a Facebook, but rarely use it.

FB which has family, friends from when i was in school and some people from a forum i was with since my son was 2. I go there everyday, but don't stay long. I have turned my chat status as offline cause i hate talking live, although i don't mind talking to my mom.

The online forums usually do it for me.

I am also on Entropia Universe or so they've come up with yet another new name, i forget what it's called now. It's an mmorpg. I watch people talk, but i rarely join in. I join teams, but i am usually quiet unless congratulating for wb people or saying hi. Haven't been on in a while since they upgraded, which mean now i need to upgrade my hardware just to play.

The idea of FB always gave me anxiety - how is one supposed to socialize with friends, family and potential employers all in the same venue?

That is what i hate about FB. I like the idea about everyone in the same place, but i hate the fact that they can see what i type to everyone. I have friends from school, those who weren't really close friends, people from other forums, family members. I wish FB was more customizable. I would group them.

Privacy is a huge issue which FB needs to address before it gets replaced. All these online sites don't need our personal information either.

From three random and unimportant pieces of information (ie. pets name, birthday, favourite colour) a computer program can figure out your identity.
