In person...

One of my students has AS.
Another of my students has HFA.
I have suspicions about another 2 of my students.
The keyboard player in my orchestra has AS.

One of my friends has significant AS traits, but she isn't impaired enough to be diagnosable.

I used to know a couple more people with AS, but I've lost contact with them. One of them was a friend, the other one is a lecturer at my university.

At least 3 With Dxed Aspergers
Countless more with HFA/Autism
1 with LFA - one of my brothers
2 with suspected AS - mum and my other brother.
My dad shows traits, but as far as I know - none of my sisters except myself have AS.

The only one I know is my nephew. We like all the same things, but oddly enough we don't really get along. Whenever we're together it seems like we just kind of size each other up and wait for something. Its bizarre.

One but he's the extroverted "everyone's best friend" type. He's such as sweet. nice caring teenager and his special intrest apears to be 1950's music. He always caried a radio around with him and the other kids would call him weird, gay, ret*d and such and tell him his music choice was gay. He told he his cousin had Down Syndrome and I told him I had AS and he said he did as well. He talked with a monotone "gay lisp" and the other kids in the neighborhood harassed him about it. I could never relate to him becuase my special intrest was always animals and I was always too much of an introvert. If kids said half the things they said to him to me, I would have probably been arrested for assult.

I've known LOTS of people who could qualify as AS but the diagnosis wasn't around when they were children. This one dog trainer lady who has some really weird ideas and is always loosing clients and has earned quite a nasty reputation for herself would definatly have been diagnosed if she were a child today. She was always going on about her obsessions, wolves. German Shepards and animals in general but what her main obsession seemed to be was unorthodox dog traning and raw food dog diets.

I know two who are diagnosed with AS, and a few others who I suspect might have it.

0, really.
I could try to diagnose people I know but I have no desire to, nor the qualification.

None!

My brother, father, and aunt have tendancies. I supect them to be Aspies but I have no proof. My grandpa was also a weird man, obsessed by E=MC2. Pretty much everyone in my dad's family has social problems and a hard time reading non-verbal signals.
