Boy, you can't live the beta life. You gotta go out there and represent the aspies in the club! I am high functioning and I go clubbing every wednesday and friday. I am known as leyroy the dinosaur because of my exotic outfit. Go out and meet people! Go out and lift!

Joe90- I also prefer to socialize during the day and in a quiet place-just with a friend at my place or at a tea shop or coffee shop or something and I also like to be in at night-don't like going out at night. At this point I've realized that if staying home and reading and writing and occasionally socializing in a quiet way is what I enjoy doing then that's fun for me-that's getting the most out of life for me and I;m not missing out on anything by doing it. People in my family also constantly tell me to get out of the house and do things more and that I'm always reading but that's the way I like it. It took me a long time to accept though too and I wanted to be more social like everyone else when I was younger -even like the characters in my novels who would sing and dance at festivals and drink with their buddies in taverns ect. and be so happy and get so much joy from these things but because of my sensory issues and social anxiety and awkwardness I really don't enjoy these things in real life. I think life is more fun if you accept the way you are and just enjoy doing the things you actually enjoy.
