I spent 99% of my childhood up until 18 years old feeling like a complete and utter outcast. I couldn't fit in anywhere. And I'm not even faced with the same things that most of you are!

As soon as I got out there into uni and into the workforce, I found my place after good, hard searching. Nowadays, I've found exactly where I belong...the car community :) (Some may call us boyracers...lmao...noooo, we don't like those guys...)

The above advice is fantastic - love yourself first, be your own best friend, get to know yourself...once you're comfortable with yourself, others will be too. People can sense self-hate...if you hate yourself, they will subconsciously see no reason to feel differently. And don't cut yourself off from certain groups...you never know where you might find a friend :D Some of us don't care what you look like or act like as long as you have a good heart :)

Oh and hey, you're in NZ too...if you see my car around Auckz, WAVE :D

Surprisingly, I've met some NTs I really like, although they aren't close friends, unfortunately. Actually most NTs I've liked are business contacts. I think the business world is a lot more aspie friendly in some ways as the social rules are more obvious.

The most dangerous people are the "nice" ones, especially in business. That's even more true if you have AS and are unable to spot the tell-tale signs that help others to identify when they're being deceived.

Takes one to know one, doesn't it ascan, you [edited by MrMark].
