It really depends...

I have told lies that I knew would protect people at the time (But I am a really horrible liar)

Also, I need to say...I have said things that turned out to be lies...but at the moment I said them I didn't know they were lies...and I always have the urge to go back and tell the person the truth. Usually the person can't even remember whatever I told them. Does anyone else do that?

I hate lies.

Finding out that someone has been dishonest to me is worse than them doing most other things that I might not like.

I am a good person to ask if you want me to give an honest answer about what you are wearing

Yes, some of the time. It's the only way to cover up my failures.
I always lie when people ask me how I'm coping, or if I need help.

I absolutly hate people lying to me, even over the smallest of things. I relise I am honest to the point of being blunt, but I would rather be a little blunt than lie.

I'm a terrible liar. It's unbelievable that anyone has ever believed any of my lies because it's so obvious I'm fibbing.

I can't lie to my boyfriend about anything and I prefer not to lie to anyone else. The exception is things like "Which hairdresser do you go to?" (I cut my own hair) and I either just don't say anything (like that's going to make me look more normal :) ) or I'll say "Oh, just one in (insert town that they don't live in)." I also have to lie to my family, or at least not reveal the whole truth, in order to avoid arguments.

I'm applying for jobs at the moment and my honesty will no doubt mean I don't get one. I just can't see the logic.

Yes I lie quite a lot. I don't lie to my internet friends, only in real life. If I'm in a difficult social situation I often lie to get out of it or make it easier. I don't really mean to be dishonest, and later on I feel bad for deceiving people. Its got so bad that sometimes I don't even realise I'm doing it. :?

I only lie when I need to. I seem to always lie when people ask me "what's up or "how you're doing' and I say 'fine' or 'good' even though I'm feeling blue because I don't want to have a long conversation. I do not like having conversations unless I feel like it. I prefer to be left alone most of the time. Online I tell what's bothering me because I can sign on anytime I feel like talking. But in real life you can't log in and out unless you stay in your own house unless someone comes up to the door and tries having a conversation with you.

Very difficult for me to lie. Though I can be evasive, or tell half-truths. (Not very well, though...)

I am an amazing liar in certain situations, and a terrible liar in other situations.

I usually suck at lying...

unless I'm trying to stay out of trouble, and I know the consequences of the truth will be much worse.

But I really hate having to lie, and I often hear "well... at least she's honest" (not too sure if that was actually meant as a compliment though  )

It seems a good technique.

I can lie, but usually I prefer not to. I try to be evasive rather than lie. I don't make white lies, and I can't imagine convincing other a thing is good if I don't think that way. Sometimes it makes me upset when other people, for social reasons, make plans to do something together and then not commit to their words, although I know they can do this.

I lie when necessary such as when I am in an EXTREMELY uncomfortable situation.

EDIT: Noticed much improper grammar just a moment ago.

I find it very difficult to lie or even to hide my thoughts sometimes.

I lie only when forced to. I rarely find reason in lying but sometimes people will only accept a lie and it is the only way to silence them.
