Used to sense that also. About small talk conversations , so steered clear of too much / most all small talk.
Listened a lot . Then as I aged people noted I spoke differently that most people . Would integrate facts into conversations , which left many small talkers at a loss . Seeing this not wanting to cause discomfort most often would leave unless directly addressed . If it was not in keeping with the topic , , I would smile and just move on .

I actually found this to be a problem, while I appreciate them taking the time to write really long well thought out messages it really doesn't go with my attention span. It's definitely an aspie thing to do, these days I pretty much say if it is over 5 paragraphs long just bloody call my phone and say your words instead of making me read mega long stuff and have a normal conversation with me instead.

I can't seem to hold up these super long conversations with paragraphs upon paragraphs of text, I end up just totally forgetting to reply. *shrug*

out of laziness and fear of boring people/turning them off, i aim for brevity, a succinct message will get through where a wall of text will not.

I’m one of those people. I often write really long texts, even when I try not to.

People say I should focus on the the bare essentials, but what they call “the bare essentials” is like 1% of what is really important.
It feels like leaving a lot of important stuff away and I think it’s because they don’t understand what I’m trying to say anyway.

What they think is the essential and important thing of my posts or what I say is often a completely different thing that what really is the essential and most important thing to me.
It’s hardest when I talk about personal stuff. It feels like they’re just not listening to me, no matter how hard I try to explain.
Huge language barrier!

Hi, thank you! :)
How are you?

I just realized that this was my first post. Wow! I registered in December 2019, but I think I wasn’t online since then. (Also confused, because of diagnosis and stuff)

Really want to start being here more.

I heard about it, but I don’t know a lot about it. According to the 13 sign chart I’m a Taurus. (I think I have a lot characteristics of both Gemini and Taurus, so I’m happy with both :D )
