Thats a shame.

maybe you could organise one near to where you live, its very easy- just list a date and time and remember to turn up yourself :D

Of course, if you were to arrange something for mid-February, I could go then.

Hmm... Appending to the same thread making it longer where there are two main locations involved in the thread will be confusing. Wouldn't it be better to differentiate countries at least?

This has been discussed many times. The forum format is unsuitable for things like meetups and personals. You have to just get by with it for the moment. Separating into countries doesn't help all that much, as the is many different ways to categorize, and you are essentially just making another static list which is permanently branched, when cross referencing is what is needed. Besides if you had a sticky for every country you would never be able to see any new threads

Suitable software capable of filtering/cross referencing anybodies requirements, plus providing calendar/upcoming events is something that I hope do develop. However it is one of many projects that is on my “to do” list, so it may be a while.

It'd be far easier to get to than London - they just have prettier things to go see, it seems.

Still, if one is ever set up, and I remember to read this thread, I'd consider going.

oops, I've missed another meet up.....but then I wasn't sure if there was an open invite. Maybe it's implicit in the fact all the meet up details were put in the forum, but didn't see an open invite. I would have felt like a goon if I'd turned up at a private/exclusive meeting, but now I feel like even more of a goon for not going! :(

I think i might know exactly what you mean, ive often been unsure whether my attendance is expected or desired and whether ive been informally accepted as belonging to a group/click (sp?). So when theres been any doubt ive tended to miss out on things. Im not sure why exactly - obviously theres a strong component of 'not getting' the social invite/inclusion cues, but i suppose it might be linked in with self-esteem, avoidance, fear of rejection etc as well.

Anyway, anything posted here is an open invite for people like us, so consider yourself formally invited! We INSIST on your prescence :)

Thanks and ((hugs)) to everyone who met me in London! I was glad to meet all of you :sunny:

I think it will be nice to do some meet ups in the London parks when the weather is warmer.
