My family is down in Lake County, Oregon. We sometimes pop out to Bend or Grant's Pass to visit family and would be up for getting together when we're in one of those areas. Mostly we're tied to Lakeview or maybe Klamath Falls areas.

I haven't had any luck at all in finding any kind of groups since moving here, but if even one other person/family will commit to showing up regularly - I would be happy to organize something. We are completely blowing people's minds around here by being intelligent and capable. Any kid that gets labeled is automatically assumed to be totally incapable of functioning, given shortened school hours, spends most of their time alone with a special ed teacher....it's like they're intentionally forcing them to become as low functioning as they can....so there really are NO high functioning ASD around here (or they keep it tightly secreted for fear they'll never get a job or be accepted, maybe?). We're total loud mouths, high achievers, very social, and people have really taken to us well and seem really open to changing their ideas about autism (which is so awesome) ... but we are alone on the island! The kids and I would really really like to find some folks we can identify with!

Tacoma, WA.

I'm usually found exploiting the $5 Tuesdays at the Galaxy 8, and the "all shows before noon $6" at the Lakewood Towne Cinema (which has the best seats in town).

Those are some pretty sweet deals, too bad the cost of gas and toll would cancel out the savings for me.

I have never had the pleasure of trying them (I'm allergic to everything, it seems) but I know many people that swear by the place if you want good donuts. I used to live pretty close to one (and a lot of the coffee shops I went to carried them,) so it would always bum me out that my (now-disbanded) friends group would frequent it quite often as an alternative to hanging out at a coffee shop. Soooo many hours wasted by sitting at a table listening to people talk while avoiding watching them eat. Haha.
