We actually see that quite often, it's so hard for us to work up the gumption to walk into a new thing that a few abortive attempts are pretty normal. Just let me reemphasize that the meetings are super low key, like cocktail parties with really odd and interesting conversations instead of inane small talk. We don't do a lot of structure at the Seattle meetings, we tried that in the beginning and it just didn't work for us, so there's no going around the room and introducing yourself or anything like that, just "here's a drink, have fun!".

take it from me, it doesn't have to be that expensive, it is about choices, what you choose to spend your food dollar on. a simple rule of thumb, is to simply avoid white foods. white foods are sugars and starches. so try to avoid table sugars. avoid gravies and pastas. avoid 99% of breads and crackers and such. the goal is to restore your body to a proper ph balance damned close to 7.3. it has been known for decades that too acidic a body ph will cause all manner of health ills/unwellness. so if you simply cut out the foods that your great-grandparents knew were bad back in the day, you will progress towards fitness much faster. just a suggestion.
