I got a 49 ("low Mach)

I want to believe in the essential goodness of other people, and accept that I will be disappointed at least some of the time.

"Dependent, submissive and socially inept" is a bit harsh though. I don't know how to appear otherwise without being a calculating arse. Oh well...

I got a 70. I'm not even sure what that means.

I know who is deceptive and who isn't and know how to convince people, sometimes.

What's more problematic is knowing how to react to those people.. If anyone has some guide how to deal with manipulative people, please send me a PM!

I think I could exploit the fact that they think I don't see their deception.

It's not really measuring a form of intelligence is it? It's more about outlook, or personal philosophy.

49. Low mach supposedly. If I took the test before age 25 I would have probably scored a lot lower.

I dont know if I agree with some parts the test though as it has a question about Euthanasia in it and I dont think that has anything to do with Machiavelli.

Also, I think there is a difference between knowing that people are possibly going to do bad things, and actually believing people are there to be exploited.

I came up with 53

That's the same thing I faced. I ended up with a 67.

I scored 44.

I wasn't sure what to answer on some of them, I mean, you can get ahead by cutting corners, but you shouldn't. same goes for lying, people lie to get ahead all the time, but that doesn't make it right.

76. There is a pretty big difference between believing these principles and exploiting them, though. I'm just a cynic at heart -- I don't much care for manipulating people.

I scored a 49 -

I too, however, had trouble answering the questions because although I believed what the statements said where true - I didn't believe it was the right thing to do.

Some of those questions could be answered differently dependent upon my mood atm. *SHRUGS*

Interesting none the less. :)

I got a 69.

Some of those questions I would have answered differently 20 years ago.
