Hi, Sorry I didn't make it...For once I had a good nights sleep (I am usually ill through the night), anyway I slept well and overslept! by the time I was ready there wasn't much point in making it into London...Shame...

Will hopefully make the next meet-up!

Aye I didn't expect a big turnout due to the english irrational fear of snow. But was cool to catch up with psych

I'm just posting this message from my blackberry in islington so hopefully jan 14th will be snow free and you anti social w*kers who didn't show up this time make the effort (joke)

I also let the local asperger groups In london know about these meetups so you may have people turn up who don't post on wrong planet but are local to london in future

Will leave u to post details of next meetup lotusblossom bye for nowa

Haha anti-social indeed. More the ice than the snow (recovering too slowly from two slipping injuries as it is), and the fact that WP's dozy system didn't inform me of replies properly (does it inform on the FIRST reply only then any others it fails to?), so I forgot. I also decided to go shopping after a late concert in the 24-hour ASDA (the shopping bit took place there, not the concert). Didn't get in 'til about 5:30am.

I was only going to talk about how weird pubs are when you don't drink and moan about how long my injury is taking to heal, anyway (joke).

Is the LAN access restricted to certain websites at the NAS or do you just like your Blackberry that much? (joke2) ;-)

Laz,

I wont be making a thread for a london meet up, so you go ahead and organise one.

I went into london on friday and it was so vile on the tube, I just cant face doing meet ups every month.

Im sure you will do meet ups better as you are more social than me so will enjoy it more and find it less stressful.

Maybe if there was two people doing it, it might work out monthly.

Aspie village is a small online community that organise meetups in other parts of the UK.

Aspie Village Link

Theres a group who meet once a month in Sheffield at the Showroom cinema which is literally on the otherside of the road from the railway station on the lefthand side as you come out.

I think its the first saturday of every month they meet but I left Sheffield back in May so not sure if they are still going.

Are you a member laz? It says you need recommendation from an existing member to join.

No I requested my profile get deleted on there earlier on this month.

I didn't realise they made registering like that...Urgh! Well now you may have a slight impression of why I left the place

Nevermind, I think the admin of that site seems hellbent on just running it slowly into the ground and closing it down.

I still use the site, but agree with you that it seems to be on a very slow course to self-destruction.

Was there a London meet up group created at http://www.meetup.com? I seem to remember getting an invite for the site, or creating an account... but I can't find it now, is it still going?
