I have about 8 friends whom I know in person, and numerous online.

It's mostly thanks to my foresight in setting up an email ring for my high school friends, which has been in existance for nearly 10 years :D

Unfortunatley, not one of my friends are Aspie... :(

I'd love to meet another Aspie in person...

None for the past 8 years. I've always looked back at secondary school as too big a step for me, thats pretty much when my previously minimal socialization ended entirely. One of my biggest regrets in life is not having been more overtly weird instead of withdrawn, that way I could have gone to a special school, heh.

Zero.

Some acquintances, who I see weekly who share the same hobby as me, but I won´t call that friends. I havent invited any of them at my home yet.

I see a brother of mine weekly, the rest of my family mostly on birthday-parties.

I have a job, so I have social contacts, but I don´t see colleages as "friends". I don´t either like or dislike most of them. They don´t come at my home either.

Depending on what you define as friends it can range from zero to more than I can count. I don't have anyone that I'd particularly call a friend, but there's plenty of people I associate with in a friendly manner.

Lots of acquaintances (online and off), very few friends. My mom's my best friend, and I dunno what I'm going to do if she doesn't make it...

Hard for me to have acquaintances. I currently only communicate verbally with my mom, my companion and my doctor.

None. As I am not working at moment I can go months and not see anyone other than cashiers in shops.

The only person I know, other than family, is my ex-partner, and I do not think we could be called friends as I am sure she does not like me, and the only time I contact her is when I need her help because I am unable to do something for myself. Otherwise there are a couple of people I know of from another web site who I might meet in person once or twice a year.

I am very lonely, but all I want is a partner. I have only had one, and we were together for five years, but I was really happy. I am not sure about friendships, they are so transient as that are not always there.

Michael.

Very much like myself in some respects, except I find it very difficult to ask for help, although I am getting better at it. I try hard to avoid cashiers, but that is easy since I am not allowed to go shopping by myself.

still communicate with some friends/acquaintances from high school, but haven't seen them in a while. Have maybe one acquaintance locally that I may bump into randomly from time to time and talk to on the net. but friends = 0. hrm, I wonder if I could post a negative number here. It’s always been like that, but admittedly, high school was better when I got to see some of these people each day and talk. I used to know lots of people online back during my teen years due to gaming and "keeping the peace" for all things online.
