Same here. All my clothes are plain with no designs or logos. Must be an aspie thing.

Yep, me too. Solid colors, mostly all dark. No logos, can't seem to stand having a company advertise themselves on me.

I'm another one of those people who *will not* wear shirts with logos on them. My body is not a space to advertise, I don't f*****g care what it is.

I do wear clothes with other things on them though, like the "things you shouldn't say to a cop" one I have that people still want to read even though I've had the shirt for YEARS and it's wearing out.

I think it is because we are so focused on other, more interesting things, that we tend to neglect our appearance. I will never be a fashion plate, I am much more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, but I do have to dress up for my job, and I find that I like wearing bright colorful clothes instead of the drab grays, blacks and beiges so often seen in an office environment. I also like colorful jewelry and people have often commented favorably on that. I tell them the reason I dress so colorful is that the weather is often so gloomy here especially in winter and I find bright colors cheer me and everyone else up. :D

I remember the first time I actually thought about clothes was on a residential trip with school when i was 11. Until that point I was quite happy to wear the same outfit every day, have scruffy hair, not shower etc. Then i suddenly realised that everyone else in my class looked older than me. I also got told off in front of everyone for not brushing my hair (I had a big problem with hard brushes that hurt).

Even after becoming aware though, I didn't really change much. I just can't bring myself to waste hours putting on make-up, doing my hair, picking out clothes.

If I am at home and not seeing anyone I will quite happily wear the same clothes for a few days and I sometimes forget to shower until I realise that my hair is greasy. If I'm at work though I'm always freshly showered, hair straightened, clothes new (no make up though - I can't be bothered). Fortunately, my boyfriend is the same. I sometimes have to remind him to have a shower. :-)

I go to work with no makeup on or my hair done in a nice way, and I'm usually the shabbiest looking in the office.
When makeup is called for I can put on foundation, lippy and eyeshadow. Never got the hang of Mascara.
I've tried straightening my hair but I couldn't get the hang of it, so my hair goes unstyled all the time.

I choose comfort over fashion every time. That makes it difficult to find nice clothes to wear to work or go places with my wife. The homeless look is still the second most comfortable look. The most comfortable is beach wear.

I wear makeup only on special days. I have to dress up for work. but if i am not going to work my clothes are chosen based on comfy factor, not by how they look. I have been accused of looking like a bag lady. but eh who cares? I have issues sometimes with brushing my teeth and hair, but i get it down usually.

I prefer to keep it simple, but still somewhat fashionable.

It is not so much that I don't care as much as that I am too disorganised/don't have enough time/don't know how/can't be bothered to take much time over my appearance:

I have absolutely NO IDEA how to style hair;

I used to wear nail polish but it always got chipped no matter what I did;

there is no way I could ever spend hours faffing around with creams & lotions when there are so many more interesting things I could be doing;

I never have time in the morning to do more than grab the first available clothes, or do makeup (I have to leave the house at 7:10am and I am not a morning person).

I abhor fashion, to say the least. I mean, I don't smell or anything--I bathe and stuff--but fashion is so... uhg. It reeks of outer-beauty and grossness and ... well, a friend summarized it for me: 'Fashion is a form of art so hideous it has to be changed every few weeks.' Yes.

Oh..lets see...I admit I subscribe to the "stinky hippy" asthetic. i am not able to bathe as often as I like because I have to commute across town any time i want a shower.

Also...my hair is a mess....once upon a time it was long..then i got depressed and bobbed it...now it is an unruly grown out mess...I guess it will be long again soon, until the next time I get depressed and bob it.

Also I almost always wear Crocs and they are covered in paint stains

Also I almost always wear a black t-shirt with the neck cut out, a comfy skirt and leggings....almost always...I have alot of clothes, because I like vintage clothes and i like patterns...and I like costumes...
If I were having to go to an job interview I would be hard pressed to find something that is not tattered and paint stained....so if and when I do find it job it will have to be one where the people don't mind.

I do have some asthetics....I screen my own shirts and alter my skirts and ever since I grew out of the oblivious androgeny phase of my childhood, I have always had eclectic taste in clothes....

As far as my weight goes...I do not watch it that closely....I have always been slightly overweight...and it goes up and down....i eat what my boyfriend eats and don't worry about it that much..

I do care about my appearance, it's just so tiring. It takes some time away and since I'm not that social, who am I trying to impress? Strangely, there's times when I get OCD on my appearance and other times when I don't want to bother with it. Also, it takes quite a wad of money just to keep up the work. I'd like to look good but again it takes time, effort, money, and determination. I don't think I could commit to all 4 of those values. It would just make me have a horrible breakdown. :evil:

Oh yeah...I forgot to mention that i don't shave anything either.

....I like the way I look...albiet I would not mind being thinner....

I don't understand the girls who go teetering around in tight clothes, stinky perfumes and high heels.

Having been a toe-walker for all my life, ironicly I can't wear high heels because if they are small enough for the length of my foot, inevitably they will be too narrow...and also they will put weird pressure on my toes that causes them to swell up.

Only thing I do with my hair is have it trimmed when I see my mother, else it is just long and plain and straight.
I abhor makeup and dont wear any other than slight foundation stuff as I hate seeing my face with dark circles under eyes.

I go in and out of clothes phases. I have an OCD issue with weight right now so I tend to dress in a way that I look thin to me.
I dont wash my clothes very often, but have enough to rotate them I suppose.
I tend to stick to same jumpers and same crop denim pants or black shorts.

I do shower daily but that is because I exercise a lot and get very sweaty.
In the past, I couldn't be bothered and my mother would call me filthy.
Caring about clothing is a very recent revelation, in the past, I lived in loose jogging pants and sweatshirts and nothing else.

I do not wear jewellry other than my pentagram.
