The thing that makes me angry about the stereotype of "goth" is that people think that it exists because people want to be unhappy. I never went into it because of that reason, and I think very few people actually do either. I am into gothic imagry and clothing because I think it's beautiful. Not everything that is aesthetically pleasing is colored in primary colors and pale pastelles. I've found very beautiful and meaningful art in cemeteries in the form of tombstones; not in a morbid way, but because it is a statue often using traditional imagry in rememberance of a loved one.
