us aspies need to be nicer to one another, to be proactive in approaching any of us who are lonely, and offering a hand or a shoulder.

I got 40.

I love my own company but I just feel like a freak and outcast at the moment...I don't belong anywhere anymore.

I don't need to take a test to know that I am infact lonely.
but then again, the alternative isn't really that much better. having a boatload of friends is stressful so now I look at it like dis:

what are your priorities man? easy going carefree life? of drama 24/7?

hmm. I'll remain friendless

The Loneliness Quiz

You scored a total of 37

I am indeed very, very lonely. I would love a friend or two in real life but so far have failed to make any. My partner is amazingly fantastic and I would have quite possible died of loneliness/boredom if I had not met him.

I failed it :D

It sais I'm not lonely at all, because:

- How often do you feel unhappy doing so many things alone? - Never. I love doing most of my things alone.
- How often do you feel you cannot tolerate being so alone? - Never. I often feel I have too many people round.
- How often do you feel as if nobody really understands you? - Are they supposed to???
- How often do you feel shut out and excluded by others? - Never. Normally, I disappear long before people realize they want me to go.
etc.

Here's the only question where I could score some points:
- How often do you find yourself waiting for people to call or write? - Sometimes (because most of my meaningful communication is on this and some other websites).

35. Extreme Loneliness

Yeah, I FEEL that lonely. Too much exclusion and 'friends' leaving me b/c of my wierd AS quirks caused me to feel lonely and depressed...

I got a score of 34, extreme loneliness.

If lonely Aspies and Auties are prone to some serious health problems and death (something I should research on), then what can we do to alleviate loneliness?

Quick prediction before I take it, very lonely (what ever number range that would be.)

edit: You scored a total of 39. Predictable.

It's seems very easy to get a high score. There aren't many questions.

Agreed. I also had a stumbling block with "sometimes" vs rarely. "Rarely" seems much closer to "never" on the spectrum than to "sometimes" (although this could just be my warped take on things)... I picked "sometimes" when "rarely" might be more appropriate - is rarely once? twice in a lifetime? 3x a month? It was very hard to quantify these very non-literal variables, so I will probably have to retake the test for a more accurate score, lol
