They are not allowed to select by school anyone and a lot of Oxbridge student actually come from state education believe it or not.
Yes it had those sorts of people. But it was also a big place for socialists. Now student don’t really care about politics that much, the NUS is basically little more than a party organiser.
They don’t actually have any rules, asides you get paired up with a tutor and interviewed, then if the tutor likes you then you get and offer. The obvious problem with the system is tutors see tutoring undergraduates as a chore, so will pick the ones that take the least time to do, i.e. the ones who have peaked already.
You’re wrong again. Actually they have to take a certain number from state education and have more rules than that.
Besides you’re talking about academic selection rather than snobbery. So what?
It is well known that there is some degrees are better elseware. Bath with Civil Engineering, Imperial Electrical Engineering, Brunel Special Engineering Program before it was defunct, etc. No doubt people apply for the name, but hose people are just mugs, because even employers are wising up to that.
University itself is overrated. I’m a self taught programmer and uni drop out. It is graduates the make the greatest gafs and are less into the work as a whole.
But all of this is irrelevant. Please stick your head in the ground
