"inapropriate"
God how I hate that word.

Last night my Acting teacher chewed me a new one about not making enough eye contact i knew he was right althouth I thought I was doing better in class.

Isnt too much eye contact seen as a sign of agression?

Being too private/too much of a loner.

Being too quiet.

Then when I do talk, some folks get annoyed that I don't say the right things, i.e. 'appropriate' topics etc.

Being offensive and arrogant by far.

I often start my sentences like this, "...don't take this to heart"

or

"Don't be offended"

I try to change the meaning to be less patronizing though.

Nobody has told me about my deficits, this list represents what I think I do wrong:

~not understanding the context of others' comments
~unable to follow the 'social dance' of women
~quietly offend ppl by saying what I think too often, being too real (opposite of fake)
~I strongly feel like I am perceived as being 'snobby' or 'standoffish', because I am bad at small talk, initiating conversations and the like
~I'm not sure but I think my eye contact can be too intense for some(?) as when I listen to others speak to me, I am focused on them

I have been accused of not being sensitive by teachers because I have meltdowns in class and say out loud when I'm not comfortable with something.

The biggest flaw I have is that I tend to act and speak without thinking things through or considering if I'll offend anyone, which has gotten me into trouble quite a few times!
