How do you feel about parties?

Parties are only fun for me for a certain amount of time. After a few hours, unless I'm plastered drunk, all of my social energy is wasted and I become the lump on the couch. The only way I can deal with parties is with plentiful alcohol, and in that circumstance, they can be really fun!

I hate parties.. too social for me... maybe if it were a powerchair dealer party

I love parties, AND RAVES!

I attend about 2-5 parties a month and 2-4 raves a month.

I despise parties >_<. They are all about socialising, getting drunk and dancing and i hate all of it. I spit on it!

I've never gone to a party that I wasn't forced to. Never.

Parties are only fun if there is alcohol, but even then they are boring and lame. I agree that they are full of people just trying to get lade.

I went to a nice one on New Years. Alcohol doesnt do much for me and it makes me gain weight but somebody had some pot and I smoked some. It was the first time in over a year and a half. It seemed to work for me as the social lubricant other people talk about with alcohol.

Thing is I look like a cop so none will sell to me so I gave it up.Plus I smoke too much when I have it. WHy go througth the illegal and expensive ( and unhealthy ) effort for someplace you don't really want to go anyway.

I was supposed to go to a party last night. I just looked at some of the pictures one of the attendee posted. I felt glad not to be there. I knew everyone well. ( It was my acting class) I agree with an earlier statement that if there is a POINT I'd like it. Sitting around with no agenda is a recipe for saying something innapropriate.

I should be at a gallery opening tonight. And I was asked out on a date to a concert tommorow. I'm not depressed nor do I have anything better to do , I just don't really want to go out.

I would've try to talk to only one of them, the one that seems to be the nicest. while not totally ignoring the other one, just try to focus on one, maybe they'll think that you're interested in her and the other one would leave you two alone for a while.

I hate parties and going to places where there's lots of poeple and strangers that i dont know because what if there is 100 people there thats 100 people that are going to try to shake your hand I HATE SHAKING HANDS!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! and when you have to say, i dont shake hands they proboly think im like a bad person or something. I hate that aspect of it but i like getting drunk but there's downsides to it because i dont take my meds and i tend to get out of hand and not care an extra 100 % as my understanding gf who knows that i have aspergers tells me ill say and do inapropriate things but i cant control that only reason im going is because she is going.I almost hit someone because they touched my shoulder with there hand last party i was at. And if i say things i dont think its directed to anybody i just blurt things out. She gets all the feedback from everybody about how i acted and then i have hear it all from her. SO ME+PARTIES=NO

hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, and a few more hate thems, why would anyone want to go to a small space with too many people they do not know, to be herded around like cattle in the meat market, fuelled on alcohol , and having to watch everyone else "having fun" to try and work out how they do it, while trying to prevent anyone from touching you, no i prefer to stay home and read thanks

let's see... parties are where you get all dressed up (no thanks), leave your familiar surroundings for unfamiliar surroundings (no thanks), meet lots of new people (no thanks), while forgetting the names and faces of those you do know (no thanks), all of whom are drunk (no thanks), and make small talk (no thanks) while ignoring you (no thanks).

Gee, I guess I don't really like parties very much...

i don't socialize at partys. i just get drunk quickly and dance with someone. that's why i prefere partys with lots and lots of people or only 1-2 close friends.

it looks like most people here don't really like alcohol....well, i quess it's a cultural thing
i like it a lot

i feel terrified and alone at a party unless one of my best friends is with me.
