When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I actually quite like college house parties, though I suppose I'm not just speaking for myself when I say that I wouldn't want to have one at my house. My ideal situation would be for there to be lots of people there who I don't know but are up for a chat. As a perpetually sober individual, talking to inebriated people I know is boring. Talking to inebriated people I don't know is interesting. There are often lots of girls too, which is nice.

What I don't especially like are nightclubs. Not my scene, especially since I don't drink.

I have no use for parties of any kind.

I don't know if I posted or not. Well parties use to be my big thing b/c I'd get drunk. It didn't matter what kind of a party, I was always trashed and felt good or at least I thought I did. Now that I'm in recovery, I can't stand parties. I don't know what to say to ppl. I do try and be friendly but they're like vampires, they expect more out of me. At one party, I had to explain I had AS, that's something I'll never do again.

Hmm, I can only imagine what their reaction was. It seems like whenever I tell someone I have AS and explain what it is, they like me even less.

Oh I hate parties... Especially work Christmas parties (and other work parties).

Parties are bad enough at the best of times without inviting the most boring people you can find to them.

Yes! Tomorrow there's a party like that. Frankly, to get drunk in the company of people that I find annoying, bore me to tears, or both - I could get drunk alone in my room much more comfortably.

I hate parties! I hate, hate, hate them! Especially if family is involved! All I do then is hide from the idiots. Did I mention that in my family, March is the month of family parties and they expect me to come?

I never organized a party in my entire life (my parents used to organize birthday parties for me, but I persuaded them not to) and I am glad about it! While I am a regular drinker, this means I drink alcohol once a year.

Edit: Weeeeeeee! 2⁸ posts!

It depends for me. If it's a family gathering, chances are I'll despise it. If it's a college party, then it will be fun - I usually get caught up talking to one or two people, and I'll be more at ease from having drank a little bit.

I don't like those types of parties where they blast hip-hop and you're supposed to dance and hook up with someone... I love dancing, but I'd rather dance to rock or something. Also, there's too much pressure.

I made a comic strip on this subject a little more than a week ago... Based on a conversation I had with my NT brother:

Whatever happened to the parties you had when you were 12? I enjoyed those, if I were to show up at one now however... not fair!

I was only at a party that my mother threw for her co-workers but I had some ppl I liked so it was fun I did mess up alot socially I know but I still did well and enjoyed it. I guess parties are ok but I don't think I'd like the drunken, loud music, hook up parties much.
