Even stalls in public bathrooms are bad enough - particularly in women's bathrooms where other people are inclined to hang around for ages talking. Which I also don't understand. If I want to have a conversation with somebody, the last place I want to have it is a stinking public bathroom, to the backdrop of sounds of people using the toilet. :(

That is something else I have NEVER understood about women...why do they always see the need to go to the restroom in pairs? Is there some kind of Girly-Toilet Cult planning world domination and using "having to go" as code for the exchange of information between cells? Are they researching Things Man was Not Meant to Know but Women Were Meant to Know?

A little enlightenment from the ladies, por favor (assuming such enlightenment would not betray any Girly-Toilet Cult secrets, of course).

Oh, yeah...forgot to answer the original question *palm to forehead*

I prefer the stall myself, but urinals don't particularly severe problems other than to make me a little more um....shall we say......"self-conscious"

Most women's toilets have games consoles and music built into them, this is why they go in pairs, and also why they don't usually want to play you at multiplayer videogames. They have been all day. I'm suprised you don't all know this. 8O

Gosh hate those things! For you aspie guys, do you dislike using urinals in the bathrooms? I for one HATE them so much! I always feel so damn awkward using them, dont like other guys that close when Im peeing, its really strange....I try to use the stall as much as I can to avoid this but if someones in it I either have to force my self to use the urinal and hope no one gets to close or just leave and find a bathroom with an open stall.

I hate them too. And I also hate going toilet in a public place other than home. When I really, really gotta go, even if it's just a wii, I use the toilet. I hate urinals. They're so stupid.

Was the same for me. I hated to need peeing at school... Mostly I tried to wait coming back home, however it was unpleasant to, and then it could be very urgent...

But since I hang out with people I have learn to do it because I didn't wan't to look like strange. I needed a real long time to find it "natural" but at time it's not too frightening for me to pee with friends or strangers doing the same close to me. 8)

An other thing was being nervous about going in bathrooms I never had been. But yet I'm not really afraid anymore by toilets I don't personally know...

Hum, well, i saw a video once about the "manners" in the bathroom, so huh, if i'm the only one in, i don't mind using the urinary (or i try to take the one farthest away of the one currently in use...). Otherwise, i usually use the stall, it's not as annoying and noise bothers me less since i'm half deaf, i only need to put a finger or my hand on the one ear i have left, so ah! no more issues that way.

I did some work at a company in Newark, NJ as an outside contractor. I found the restroom, went inside and looked for the urinal. There were a few stalls on the side and in the middle of the room was this thing. No other urinals in sight.

I thought maybe the company had a more European view in regards to communal urinals and peed in it. After I finished I washed my hands in a sink along the back wall. One of the company employees comes in and started to wash his hand in my urinal. He said hello to me and I couldn't even look him in the eyes because of what I had done.

I confess I was afraid that was really a new kind of urinals... And felt better by understanding your mistake (and think I could definitively have done the same).

I'm an Aspie and I was never anxious to use urinals in any public bathroom. However, I am too hesitant to defecate in any smelly, disgusting, old-looking public bathrooms.

I don't use them at all anymore, I'm too self-conscious to just have my thing hanging out in public. I also get uncomfortable when other people talk to me while using them. It's just weird to me that people just casually chat with me in the middle of them peeing. o_0

I have never, ever used a urinal in my life. I always just wait until a toilet become open for use. I can't even believe that people are able to use them without feeling completely embarrassed. Really, I even find it awkward to relieve myself in the same room as someone else because I think that they're going to hear me. Maybe it's just because I'm gay that I feel this way? Would you guys feel really awkward if you had to pee next to a woman?

I hate using Urinals. I think I hate it, coz of the lack of privacy, feel like somebody's gonna look at my ding dong. I only use urinals if I'm busting, and all the toilet stalls are occupied!
